Beautiful OFF GRID pet friendly cabin located on the Clearfork River. Over a mile of secluded river frontage and 4 SEASONAL waterfalls. Huge bluffs to explore. Large gated deck with picnic table and gas grill. Great place for you and your furry friends to hang out. This is OFF GRID, OFF ROAD, needing off road capable vehicle and adverturous outdoors loving people. This is not a cabin to send grandma in the Camary. {PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION AND PHOTOS} Totally away from society!! Loft bedroom with queen bed and great window view!! LIving area has fold out couch for extra sleeping. Located close to the Big South Fork national park Sometimes getting off the beaten path is hard to beat!! 4x4 or all wheel drive is helpful. The cabin has a 64 square foot separate bathroom that's right by the cabin with sink and full shower. Hot running water on demand. 3500 watt inverter generator for tv/dvd, stove, coffee maker etc. Gas grill and picnic table on the huge deck for your enjoyment. We even provide a huge cooler for your food. Just bring food and ice and get ready for fun!! I have my home on the property so i will be there if you need anything.

I do not think I can properly describe how amazing our stay was here within the 1000-character limit! Let me start by saying Scott was amazing!! He was there for ANYTHING we needed. The cabin was PERFECT. The property was breathtaking. An off-grid escape was just what we needed to reset. I (35 F) stayed here with my three little girls (12, 9, and 8). We went exploring as soon as we arrived. The streams, bluffs, and river on the property were a huge hit! There is so much to do very close by. Hiking to waterfalls, caves, and a natural bridge. If you are truly looking for a unique, off-grid, camping experience this is what you need! There is a nice generator for some very basic needs. We turned it on two times the entire weekend for a short period. There is a shower house close to the cabin that is available if you would like to clean up. Everything you need is at the cabin as far as lanterns, cook ware, towels, blankets, ect.
Scott was a great host, and the cabin was just what we needed for a getaway off grid. I highly recommend to anyone looking to unplug and go to a forest oasis.
If you are looking for an off-the-grid excursion this is the place to stay! The cabin was exactly like described and in a beautiful location. The plus for us was it was dog-friendly. Scott was a great host and went out of his way to provide things we asked for (like battery charger to charge phones). This is the ultimate glamping experience.
We had a wonderful trip! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to unplug for a bit, especially if you're dog people. I would recommend anyone staying there download the area on Google maps before arriving so you can navigate without cell service, but even if you don't, Scott gave good directions to local sights.
A few words is not enough to describe Scott's place in the Upper Cumberland. First, let me brag on Scott, he is an upstanding individual aside from being a super host. Scott was extremely helpful and hospitable not to mention a great conversationalist. Now to the Cabin. Shiner's Hideout is one of the most scenic places a traveler to the Cumberland could lay their head. It is OFF-GRID and amazing. If you are a nature lover or simply want to escape the hustle and bustle of our hectic world WR off-grid is the most effective nature cleanse you will find on Air BNB or any other travel site. Embrace the adventure and put the world aside, and definitely have a conversation with Scott and the doggos and you will not be disappointed 10/10 amazing experience thank you Scott! Fully Awake.

There are only two cabins on the river Mine and Shiners Hideout. I am across the road from the rental cabin. You will have the whole mile of river to yourself!
The cabin is located close(11 miles) to Jamestown where you can shop and eat including walmart. The road into the property is an old logging road. We keep it in shape but just know its not ideal for low vehicles and if it has rained much it does get some puddles and is slippery in places. This is nothing for a vehicle with good traction tires (not smooth car tires), and has a hill on it. We've had almost every type of vehicle to the cabin but a lot of it depends on you. What are you used to. There is cell service up on the main road for most carriers but at the cabin you will only hear the river and the birds. Believe me it's peaceful!!The 1/4 mile road in is a little steep and bumpy. Not bad but a fun drive in with the right vehicle.
