Millac · 整套别墅 · 3室4床1.5卫 · 可住6人 · Character house in village centre
Relax in this charming and spacious house with south facing sun terrace. This traditional stone built villa sits in the centre of the village opposite a 17th century church, with free parking plus EV charging point. The local bar/restaurant/shop is in easy walking distance. Villa Lierre is 5 mins from a large supermarket and 1hr from regional airports. The Circuit du Val de Vienne is 15 minutes away by car. There are historic towns to explore nearby, and the river Vienne is a short walk away. Villa Lierre is a quirky and characterful house set over 3 floors with beamed ceilings and many original features. At the front of the villa, up three steps, is a lovely south facing terrace with garden furniture and bistro table and chairs. It's the perfect place to sit in the sun with a glass of wine, admire the view and watch the world go by. The front door is across the terrace and gives access to the ground floor living area. This is a large open plan space with lounge, kitchen, breakfast bar and dining area, with a mix of contemporary and French antique and vintage furnishings. The lounge area has conservatory style wicker seating in the lovely bay window with beautiful views across the church square. There is a wall mounted flat screen TV and plenty of comfy seating. In the kitchen area there is a 6 ring gas cooker and a kitchenette with toaster, microwave and Nespresso coffee machine. The kitchen island has bar stools, and beyond the kitchen is the dining area with dining table and seating for 6 people. There is also a toilet on this floor. From the ground floor, stairs lead down to the basement and up to the first floor. Care should be taken when using the stairs as they are old, narrow and steep. The basement is well lit with windows and has a moroccan themed 'snug' - a relaxing cool area with leather sofas and soft furnishings - to sit and read or listen to music. In the basement there is also a utility room with sink, washing machine, tumble dryer, air dryer and ironing board, a workshop where bicycles can be stored and a cellar. Access to the outdoor grassy space at the side of the house is via the back door from the workshop. The first floor has two double bedrooms and a twin bedded room with bunk beds. The master bedroom has beautiful wood shutters giving a lovely view across the church square and has been furnished in a Louis XV style with antique furniture and vintage wool rug. The second guest bedroom has a beautiful antique soft velvet upholstered bedstead with luxury bedding and built in wardrobe space. The third bedroom has large bunk beds, wardrobe and drawers. The extra large bathroom has a modern power shower, his and hers vanity unit, a large mirror with theatre style lighting and exposed stonework. The wide landing has an office space with a desk, an office chair plus power for electronic devices and USB points. The workspace is light and airy and has views across the village from the window. There is a travel cot, stair gates and high chair available if required.
Absolutely 100% recommend this stay. Tucked away in a peaceful village not a million miles away from civilisation. Everything is perfectly set up and the guide book you see upon arrival outlines everything perfectly. Amanda herself is incredible, always responsive and happy to help. If you're fortunate enough to book this holiday retreat, you absolutely will not regret it. 10/10
