Welcome to our Gite, simply named Le Gite No 2! Over the past year we have brought this old building back to life with a total re-fit and makeover. Gite is in an amazing location with lots to do and see. Your hosts are Mark and Agnieszka, and, between us, we speak English, French, Polish and a little German. We are here to make your stay with us happy and relaxing, while you create wonderful memories! We live next door to the Gite and therefore, should you need help, we are on hand 24/7. The Gite is fully restored and renovated and comprises two bedrooms (one double and one twin-bedded), open plan living, with corner sofa, coffee table, tv unit with TV and free Wi-Fi. In the kitchen you have an island (which also serve as a table with 4 bar chairs, oven, hob, fridge, microwave, toaster, plates, glasses etc. There is also a wonderful shower room with a walk-in shower, wash-hand basin, and toilet. In double bedroom there is a wardrobe with hangers, make-up table with mirror and a chair, full length mirror and two bedside tables with lamps. There is also an iron board and an iron. Twin room contains double wardrobe with hangers, small chest of drawers, mirror and bedside table between the beds, plus two hanging lamps above each bed.

Nous avons passé une nuit dans le gîte d'Aggi & Mark (mon mari, notre fils et moi). Mon mari roulait au circuit automobile du Val de Vienne et la proximité était parfaite ! Aggi & Mark ont été réactifs, accueillants, flexibles, sympathiques.. les hôtes parfaits ! Je suis très exigeante quant au ménage, et franchement rien à dire. Tout était impeccable. Quant aux équipements, on ne manquait de rien au contraire : plein de petites attentions qui nous ont beaucoup touché. Je recommande et pour notre part, nous reviendrons! A bientôt !
Hôtes très accueillants et chaleureux. Aggi n’a pas hésiter à nous conseiller un restaurant à proximité. 😁 Le logement était propre, quelques petits services additionnels proposés tels que fruits frais, briochettes et boissons. Encore merci pour ce super séjour.

Petit coin tranquille et charmant. Balade a pied jusqu'au pont et jusqu'au centre ville. Logement propre et très accueillant. Nous n'avons pas utilisé le jardin qui doit être extra en saison!

If you are looking for a restful, quiet, and tranquil location in and around Le Vigeant or L'isle Jourdain, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, then Le Gite No 2 is most definitely for you. All amenities are very close by and within walking distance, with several cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, a pharmacy, and just on our door step there is a pizzeria which sells fresh baguettes every morning.
On Saturdays there is a town market across the river in L’Ile-Jourdain (just 5 minute walk) and just a three-minute walk away from our Gite is the town’s electric vehicle charging station.
The area is amazing for walking and cycling and the renowned Circuit du Val de Vienne racetrack is only 4km from your front door. Bicycles can be stored in our ground floor cellar for safety. If water is your thing, then look no further than the nearby River Vienne which offers (in the height of summer) kayaking, water skiing, wakeboard, and a water ski school, to mention a few. Close by there is a newly refurbished outdoor swimming pool with water slides. Bungie jumping from the impressive L’Isle-Jourdain viaduct, an amphitheatre (with concerts all summer), zip wire, horse-back riding, electric cross scooters and electric bikes for hire, along with tennis courts.
For the children, there is Futuroscope which is 55 minutes away, Valley of the Monkeys, Crocodile Planet, Animals farm and many more within 1 hrs drive.
The nearest railway station is 20 minutes away, in Lussac-les-Châteaux, with trains to Poitiers and Limoges. There are two airports 50 minutes away Limoges and Poitiers, and a pick-up and return service can be arranged at an additional cost.
