This was the perfect stay for a quick border run to Panama. Roberto and his mom Enith were so welcoming. I would definitely stay here again.

Stop reading reviews, just go! 😄😄 Robert and Edith’s place is beautiful. It’s very kids friendly, they have a trampoline, soccer field, and a mini pool. There is a plenty of space for kids to run around and be with the nature.

Staying at Finca Doña Rufa with Roberto and Enith for the second time was just as great as the first. If you're thinking about a Costa Rica border run to refresh your visa, you really can't beat heading to Rio Sereno. It's super quiet, and crossing the border is smooth, probably because the hosts know the border agents well. The farm's gorgeous, and their passion for turning their town into the "gateway to Panama" is really infectious. Plus, they've got a spot for you to park your car in Costa Rica, so you can skip the tedious paperwork. They're up for helping out with anything – including driving - we did some sightseeing, hit up some restaurants, and shopped. My son loved the farm, and for me, the breakfast was the highlight. Eating a traditional Panamanian breakfast surrounded by fruit trees, with just the breeze and birds for company, was just perfect. Seriously, you should book now.

What a lovely, peaceful place so close to the border! Roberto was very responsive with messages. Enich met us at the border, helped us with the process and drove us to the farm. They are a very kind and generous family. The breakfast served was delicious. We were able to get great rest in a comfortable bed before heading back to Costa Rica. I highly recommend staying here!
