We stay for work, so unfortunately we didn’t have time to check around but the house is as describe. We just use the house for shower and sleep pretty much … For the price we pay it’s fine .

Vintage bungalow with gorgeous original woodwork. Easy walk to all the cute shops and restaurants downtown. Plenty of street parking. Mike responded quickly to questions. Fit our needs perfectly!

The place is as described and pictured. Great location, just a few blocks from downtown Valpo. Some feedback from our stay though: The residence is lacking a supply of basic ammenities like soap, paper towel, etc. We needed to run out to the store to pick up some things that are usually included. Could not get cable or anything to come through the TV. But fortunately we brought our Roku with us that worked fine with house wifi. And the layout of the bathroom is cramped. There is a wall a foot in front of the toilet making it very difficult to sit comfortably on if you are even slightly tall. But none of these issues were major. Just pointing out for consideration if anyone is diligently reading reviews. Otherwise this house met our needs of a safe place to stay with our dog over Thanksgiving to visit family in Valpo.

Mike’s place was just as described in the listing. Excellent location for our needs. Above all else, it was quiet which was not our experience last year at a different location. The place fit the bill in terms of a place to rest our heads at night, freshen up and head out the next day. It got quite chilly during our stay and without changing anything, the heat kept us all extremely comfortable. Having lived in Pittsburgh for many years, we felt right at home in the 100 plus year old bungalow. Loved the interior and the rooms. All very familiar. Communication with Mike was top notch. Extremely responsive and very flexible. We had a last minute addition for one night of family who asked to join us. Mike was more than accommodating. Thank you for hosting us during our visit, Mike. Greatly appreciated.
