Laine is a lovely host. Her place is indeed a cozy artist's retreat full of music and artwork but with a soothing ambience. During my 7 night stay I particularly enjoyed the comfy bed, taking refreshing dips in the pool and more prosaically - access to a washing machine. Cleveland has plenty of history (lost out to Brisbane as the main port and city) plenty of places to eat (or Coles, Woolworths etc. to buy food). It also provides ferry access to beautiful Stradbroke Island. (I returned on the slower car ferry and enjoyed a wonderful late afternoon view as storm clouds gathered over Moreton Bay.) I would thoroughly recommend Laine's place to women travelling on their own. However if like me you need to use public transport (I bought my Go Card at the Cleveland Railway Station) do check the timetables as buses and trains are not as frequent as inner city)

Laine’s warm energy and comfy home was an absolute delight to arrive too, after a long day at a local conference. Her hospitality was outstanding and I felt safe and comfortable at all times. I will definitely be back! Thank you Laine! ❤️🫶🏽

Laine is such a wonderful host, and we really enjoyed our stay. The house has a lot of character and charm, and it is so much fun to discover the details and love that Laine put into her unique home that perfectly represents her fun personality. The house is clean, cozy and located in a quiet neighborhood. We had such a great stay that we decided to book another night after our Straddie trip. You will find everything you need for a great stay and, foremost, the most comfortable bed. The bedroom, bath, and a separate toilet are located at the back of the house, so you can have a lot of privacy if desired. If you are traveling around the area, we can definitely recommend staying with Laine. We are looking forward to our next stay in a few days!

Ok, I was unable to stay at Laine's accommodation as my friend I was visiting at Coochiemudlo Island took an extremely bad fall the day before my trip. She was rushed to hospital and was in for 2 weeks with a bleed to the brain and other severe injuries. When I contacted Laine with regard that I would not be able to stay she has allowed me to change my date to when my friend will be up to having visitors again. I was very pleased that Laine was able to accommodate me in this way and maybe I am able to accept her kindness next month although my friend is having on going treatment. Thank you Laine for being very understanding and I really look forward to visiting with you, Kind regards, Elaine Young
