Doug is a wonderful host and his place has to be one of the most beautiful and interesting AirBNBs we have stayed at - and we have stayed at many. The apartment is an elegant and roomy living space on the 2nd floor of perhaps the fancy horse stalls I have seen (but during our visit without any horses). If you enjoy interesting architecture and elegant carpentry, a visit to the “Stalls” is worth it just to admire the creative craftsmanship of the building. The apartment was extremely well set up for us to enjoy a week long stay. Location is exceptional. It was both a short drive into downtown Whitefish, but more important to us it was at the end of a private road surrounded by a large private corporate landholding that is available for public access. We enjoyed a week of Nordic skiing and showshoe adventures frequently without needing to drive anywhere. Miles and miles of old forest roads and easy trail breaking through relatively open meadows. Also nearby are groomed trails.

Had an awesome ski weekend at WMR. The kids loved the bunks and having their private space. The road was well plowed for the season and the house had everything we needed for meal prep. Master bed was very comfortable and we really enjoyed the two fireplaces. Will absolutely stay here again!

This barn was absolutely magical. Unfortunately we had extreme temps that made our stay a little tricky. Doug was responsive and handled things the best way possible.

WOW! I mean, WOW! We walked into the barn at it was nothing short of magical. The barn itself was clean and decorated for Christmas, my children thought we walked into Santa’s barn where he kept the deer. Walking into the living quarters upstairs it was what you think a home in MT should feel. It was cozy, professionally decorated, everything about the space felt elevated. The house was spotless and beds/linens clean and so comfy. I usually bring my own pillow and blanket (ya I’m a crazy lady that doesn’t like germs), but I used neither, that’s how clean and upscale the space felt! We loved the fire places and cozy bunk beds too! Oh and Doug thought of everything, he provided so many extras! Best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. This was heaven on Earth, if Doug would let us buy we would. Nice work, Doug!
