The cons: the ants…but, while the ants are still very much there, it didn’t cause real problems as long as we kept food in ziplock bags or in the fridge. The private pool is so, so cold - unusable. Though, it ended up not mattering because the zero entry pool is so close. The food at the resort is meh at best, but there are tons of restaurants nearby along with grocery stores. The pros: perfect setup for families. We travelled with our three kids ages 4, 2.5 and 6 months. The resort offered a pack n play for one of our littles and we brought a second for the middle. While it was a tight squeeze in the rooms to add them, it ended up working fine. The best thing about the place though is the location, both in Guanacaste and on the resort. It is super close to the swim up bar pool that is zero entry on both sides with an extra little shallow area so we could drink while watching our girls without fear. Shuttles everywhere were quick to arrive with a call to reception and nice bkfst.

This place is everything in One. You have an option to do the all inclusive package at the resort, we opt out! The grocery store was down the street from the resort. Dinner options were $30 for adults which included buffet style and 2 free adult beverages pp. (not bad). The pool swim up bar is steps away from the villa and they serve pizza and burgers until 5pm. Stephen linked us to his friend Bryan who organized all our tours!! Check out his page Costa Rica Fishing Adventures! We went fishing, ATV, zip line, sloth and river tours all for $1,500 for the entire group! Everyone was so friendly and responsive! They truly live out the countries Moto : Pura Vida! A wonderful trip full of relaxation and fun in paradise! Thank you Stephen for everything and Bryan was an added bonus! I will recommend his home to anyone thinking of coming to Costa Rica! Absolutely perfect! Steve is an excellent communicator and the description, if anything, undersells the place. It has everything you need to feel at home. The beds are excellent and comfortable (didn't sleep on the twin bed so can't speak to those). We bought food/cooked for half our meals and while the kitchen is little cozy it gets the job done with plenty of options for cooking (pots and pans and utensils). And the pool on the patio honestly made the trip! I didn't want to leave and am going to start planning my next trip today! There's a binder of brochures for various activities if you're wanting to be adventurous and there are also options in the reception (I did not use the reception guides). Transportation was a little more expensive than I thought it would be so bring lots of cash and a smile. The restaurant on the hotel campus was so so and rather pricey but a short walk down the beach leads to tons of delicious options, especially for seafood!
