Spacious, clean and comfortable, and very well equipped. Excellent communications, and check in/check out was all very easy and straightforward. The apartment is in an old building and the communal areas are a little tired (e.g. the ground floor corridors have a distinct smell of cigarette smoke). However, the apartment itself is modern and clean, with a newly decorated double bedroom and a lovely new bathroom. And the views are amazing!

This is my third visit to Harwich and I really wish I had discovered the Arts House before. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit. The choice of retro decor and furniture is great and we made good use of the vinyl collection. The courtyard is beautiful. We had coffee and breakfast out there in the morning and wine in the evenings. Both beds are sooo comfortable with crisp white linen and we both slept like babies. Paul is a great host, checking that everything was okay and asking if we needed anything else. All in all it really was a 5 star experience and both my sister and myself wished that we actually lived in the Arts House!

Such a lovely house, beautifully presented. I enjoyed the large selective of vinyl records and DVDs. Everything you need in the kitchen, and a lovely little courtyard garden with fragrant jasmine over the door. Bed was very comfortable. A short walking distance to Old Bank studios for the art course I attended. I’d definitely recommend Paul’s house for anyone looking for a delightful place to stay in Harwich.
