This cabin is perfectly located if you want to be off the grid. You do lose signal as you’re driving up the mountain , but the views are priceless. It snowed on our second night and it was absolutely beautiful! The windows provided an amazing view right from the comfort of the couch with a warm coffee. The driveway is a bit steep but a 4x4 did perfectly fine. On the night it snowed we parked at the top to be safe since we didn’t know how much snow there would be. The walk down to the cabin is manageable as well. The bathrooms are fully stocked and the bed was so comfortable. If you plan on going to sequoia keep in mind that it’s about a 2hr drive, but if you want to stay in and enjoy being offline it is the best place to unwind and spend time with family and friends. So first off the view is better than the photos. Host was a good communicator and very helpful. The only draw back was while the property was stunning it was not safe for young children. In the pictures I thought the backyard sloped down and my kids could play back there but that's not the case. It does not slope, it's a steep drop. My kids did play in the backyard but had to be closely supervised and I couldn't let go of my little ones hand for fear of him falling off. To be fair, it was also covered in snow and we could barely see where the ground was at the edge. Inside the home in the children's loft/ sleep area (which is really cool), there is a balcony which I did not notice in the photos. That had me very on edge because, as I said I have 2 little boys. They both have autism and I was in constant fear they would climb the chair thats next to it and fall off. Also, there is no tv in the children's loft area. I had hoped there was before booking but couldn't tell from pic's.

we had a few snags getting in because there was no cell reception. but it made the stay more appreciated as soon as we got in. thank you for the Starbucks pods. that came in handy. we were warm and cozy inside and out.

The house and views were absolutely beautiful! It is the perfect house to enjoy the mountains & get away!
