Sequoia Meadows is located in the heart of Camp Nelson, just minutes from the giant sequoia trees, many over 3,000 years old! The compound consists of three connected cabins, on over 4 1/2 acres of private land. One cabin has a dining room and all have patios and en-suite full bathrooms. There is a stream, soaring trees, awe-inspiring mountain vistas, a bucolic meadow and families of deer around the property. One cabin has a long term tenant. The listing is for two of the three cabins. Each cabin can accommodate two people in queen beds (for a total of four people). Each cabin has its own seating area, microwave, mini fridge, and en-suite bathroom with tub shower. All cabins have WiFi and tv with DVD players. Belvedere cabin has a dining room overlooking the forest and Clairmont cabin has a private patio overlooking the forest.

Unique and functional cabin, huge meadow, best collection of 1990s films ever.
Great location! Cabins had all amenities one might need. Kids will have a great time in the meadow out front.
Great place to stay in Camp Nelson!
The 3 rooms are separated with their own entrances and own bathrooms. One of the rooms has a dining room area and another has the kitchen. We always enjoyed eating outside on the many picnic tables that let you take in the meadow views and passing deer.

Sequoia Meadows is located in the heart of Camp Nelson. Across the street is the Camp Nelson General Store, hardware store, Slate Mountain Saloon (currently closed) and the historical museum is just a few steps further on. There are numerous hiking trails (maps and descriptions are at the property), the unique Camp Nelson Soda Springs (naturally carbonated mineral water) pavilion is a few minutes from the property and trout fishing along the Tule River is nearby. There is golf at River Island Golf Course (20 minutes down the hill) swimming along the Tule River as well as in Lake Success where there is also boating and water skiing (at your own risk). There is restaurant dining at Pierpoint Springs Resort, Slate Mountain Saloon at Camp Nelson and Ponderosa Lodge, a 15 minute drive up highway 190. In the winter there is cross country skiing trails (skis can be rented at Ponderosa) and there are also snowmobiles for rent.
Once you’ve arrived and parked your car at the property you can enjoy the area and many of its attractions on foot or with a bike. If you like fishing bring your pole, bait and a California fishing license. For hikers, good athletic footwear or hiking boots. Make sure to bring a backpack and water bottles.

I’ve been coming to the Sequoias before my children were born. This is where they played in nature through the seasons. They learned to fish in the Tule River, to hike and camp in the forest and to love nature. I work in the communications industry and between publishing a daily newspaper and producing television shows, the Sequoias are a welcome sanctuary to recharge and revive. I am delighted to share this special place with you and hope that you find the joy and peace that we have.
