Let me start by saying that Kurt is an AMAZING host. He's always available ALWAYS. he helped us a lot from booking our ferry to giving directions in the island. The house is exactly as in the pictures. I felt right at home. my family of 5 were very comfortable. If you're looking for peace and quiet, this is the place for you. The panoramic views in Rebbenes are breathtaking. If you're looking to experience great northern lights Kurt's house offers them from all angles. (if weather allows it) while driving around to the little supermarket we encountered with reindeer and sheep and not to mention the amazing views of the fjords. The jacuzzi helped us relaxed after hiking and the BBQ house is very cozy inside. we had tons of snow for the kids to play. At least for us it was the best winter home so far.

Good size cabin for 6 people, beautiful remote island, peaceful, perfect to relax. Unfortunately we had snowstorms while being there so we didn’t see the northern lights there but still an awesome little island. The jacuzzi was great to use and worked well even if it was freezing outside. The only downside to the house was that he had to clean everything when we arrived, the house has a “clean yourself “ policy so if you’re unlucky the guest before you will not clean too well. I didn’t meet this situation before but since this is such a remote place it is probably difficult to have someone come over to clean after the guests. But probably after every few guests there should be a good clean up. Towels and bed linen were clean. The house owner answered very quick and was helpful when needed. Most Food shopping should be done in Tromso but a visit to the local store is great and the owner is very nice and you can find day by day needs there. Overall we loved staying here.

DO NOT STAY HERE. The cabin is fine, and the area is nice, and our stay of 2 nights was okay, but a week later, he's trying to intimidate us and to get us to pay 2,400 NOK (€200) outside AirBnB for cleaning and 'damage' because he found some hair on some pillows and because there were dishes in the dashwasher and because he claims some footstool was near a heater, but as far as I can tell, he did that. If you read his description closely, he's added some 2,000 cleaning fee to the description, which he tries to take advantage of if you 'fail' to do anything on his 30 page list of cleaning instructions. The cabin was clean. I wish I could attach the pictures he sent here. It's just ridiculous. I now see from his responses on previous guests' reviews that he does this quite often (after they've already given a positive review). Luckily we hadn't actually given him a review yet such that we could include this experience here. DON'T STAY HERE! We've reported him to AirBnb.

We had a great time at Kurt's place, the location is beautiful and peaceful. Watching the northern lights from the jacuzzi is magical! 😊

If you are looking for an ideal cozy cabin with a lot of privacy and the opportunity to do hiking in the summer or as in our case during the winter with snow shoes, this is an ideal offer. Any angle from the cabins windows or the porch has an incredible view worthy of a painting. The cabin has a hot tub, an outdoor grill house (really cozy) and a fantastic view over the lake and mountains. It is fast to heat up, so you will not be freezing in door. The cabin is in front of a hillside up to 160 meters and a lot of opportunities to hide from the light in order to get the perfect picture of the Northern Lights. We did! We also got to meet reindeers in the wild that are apparently picky about, what they eat :-) When then posting pictures, the internet is great and we did a lot of video calls home to the family. Kurt is so helpful to ensure that the stay is flawless. Can only recommend him and his cabin. Go there and enjoy the surroundings. Wow!!!
