Beautiful home! Loads to do and massive house! Bar & cinema room downstairs was a lovely touch. Host was friendly and flexible with check-in times. Would definitely recommend!

We had a a great 2 nights and it was perfect for a large group celebrating a 40th birthday BUT A few issues which I think would be easily resolved and would make it worth paying £800 p/n. No tea towels (we did request these. The host told us that they don’t provide them and told us where we could find kitchen roll.) No TVs on the first floor. Only tvs were in bedrooms (not plugged in and unable to do so as the plug sockets were no where near them) Cinema room is unusable. We took a fire stick to use in there but no WiFi. Spoke to the host who said there were no problems reported with the provider. The gym is NOT a gym. There was a dusty exercise bike in the corner of the cellar. Main issue was lack of heating and hot water. Reported to host on the first morning after we all had cold showers. He did send someone round promptly who said the heating was fine(radiators were luke warm) and the water was warm, not warm enough to wash up though.

Mixed emotions about our stay, but unfortunately the previous reviews are definitely true: - The house was cold and the heating was not working throughout the weekend, especially on bedroom floors. Our guests were cold and had to wrap up. - No enough pots, pans, plates, bowls and utensils for the number of guests - The snooker table was broken and nearly fell on someone. It is unsafely held up. - Hot working was not working on the last day - Cinema chairs are ripped and you can’t recline - The basement shower did not work - The gym wasn’t really a gym - You have to pay a £500 damage deposit and send proof of ID or else you are not allowed to enter - The rooms are not outlined correctly on the listing, 18 people can sleep there. - The house needs a welcome pack and clear instructions on things. On a more positive note: the house is beautiful and spacious. The bedrooms were beautiful and comfy too. The secure parking is great and the large cooker was very handy.
