Our home is the perfect location for hiking or snow sport lovers within walking distance to the slopes although there is a free bus that will pick you up/drop you off right at the end of the driveway so no need to load up the car. We have been named the ”Wildflower Capital of Colorado” and “Colorado’s Last Great Ski Town”! We have beautiful views of the stars at night, some of the best ski runs you can ever imagine, easy to difficult hikes, and some gnarly bike trails as well. There isn’t an “off season” here as every season is beautiful! We are offering a unique opportunity to rent a premier home that can accommodate up to 9 people in the main house, plus above the detached garage there is an upstairs unit that accommodate 2. It is connected via a catwalk to the main home. Or walk down the metal tread staircase around the garage to the driveway. A total of 11 people can sleep here comfortably with 1-king size bed, 3-queen size beds, and 3-twin size beds. Everyone gets a bit of privacy with the multiple floors and many bedrooms and baths. There are 5 bedrooms, 4 full baths and 1 half-bath. Upon approaching this beautiful home with metal roofing, you will walk up a custom stairway with metal treads to the main level. The covered entryway has a full length porch with log railings. When entering the first-floor living space, you will find yourself in the heart of every home- an open kitchen/ living/ dining area. There are all the amenities you will need to make your gourmet meal or relax and enjoy carryout from one of the delicious restaurants in town. The coziness of the eat-in kitchen includes upgraded appliances, 65” Frame TV, granite countertops, and a granite island with 4 counter stools enable everyone to gather around. There is a comfortable seating area to relax after a busy day of skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, or shopping! This floor also has a half bath, a master bedroom with a queen bed and a newly remodeled master bathroom. The master bathroom has a 2 person copper tub which is lovely to replicate a relaxing spa feeling after a long day of skiing, hiking or shopping! Heading upstairs, there is an open bedroom with a queen log bed and a bench seat to curl up on and read your favorite book while looking at the snow falling outside. There is a small deck outside this bedroom that has a majestic view of Mt. Crested Butte. There is a full bathroom with a tub on this level. There is another bedroom with a fun jungle animal motif and log bunk beds, another twin bed, 2 small cubbies to play in for younger kids, a padded bench seat to allow little ones to read a book or play a game, and a small outdoor deck with views of the Elk Mountain range. When you head to the lowest level, you will find a beautiful wood-burning fireplace with river rock gathered from the local Gunnison River. There you can sit and enjoy the crackling fire while relaxing or watch TV on a new 55” TV. There is another full bath with a tub, a full-size washer and dryer. There is a king size bed in the open bedroom next to the bathroom. Shampoo, conditioner, lotion and body wash provided as well as hair dryers. Laundry detergent on site as well! How nice to have a little more privacy with the guest unit above the garage which can be accessed via a metal outdoor stairway or catwalk attached to the main house. Inside there is a kitchenette, a steam sauna, a bedroom, and a bathroom. Able to sleep 2 in a queen log bed. There is a large outdoor deck with breathtaking views of Mt. Crested Butte. Lastly, throughout the home there is infloor heat which makes walking on the floor even better! Please note the photo of the hot tub...we have installed a brand new hottub in December 2023! Please note that the hottub is ONLY for registered guests staying at our home. Children 16 and under must be supervised by an adult at all times! We have hottub towels available as well! New this year Mountain Express has created a better way of transporting you to and from the mountain. Just download the app called "First Tracks" to schedule your pickup from our home and be dropped off at the base mountain! No more waiting a half hour for the bus to take you skiing, now you just schedule your pickup time and be up at the Mountain skiing within minutes!
