This is a lovely property and matches the descriptions accurately. You will need a car to travel to the Lakes for walking and the other better known areas of the Lakes. The Village is very small with no amenities but that was no issue to us and was reflected in the price of the property. It is on the coast to coast walk, we didn't do this as we walked Scafell Pike during our weekend stay. It was about half an hour drive to the Wasdale Car Park to climb Scafell Pike. A great property and we had a lovely weekend staying there. The hosts were excellent.

A super warm, cosy place to stay. We had lazy mornings in before a full day of exploring and lovely to come home to a warm and comfortable accommodation. The bed was super comfy and a great hot shower. A quiet and peaceful location from which to explore the Lake District.

We enjoyed our stay and were happy to remain indoors when the weather wasn't great. We played board games and we were able to relax around the lovely big, wooden table. The house is warm and comfortable.

We stayed at this lovely cottage over a weekend to climb Scafell Pike. The cottage was clean and looks like the pictures provided. The central heating warms up the place very quickly. It is about a 35min drive from Wasdale Lake Head car park for the Scafell Pike. There's also a small corner shop a 1 minute walk away from the house. The location is very peaceful and with lots of natural beauty nearby. There's street parking available in front of the house and all the locals we bumped into were very friendly. David and Victoria were lovely and responded very quickly to all our messages. They also allowed us to briefly pop back in post-check out after we had forgotten one of our items. We had a great time and I would highly recommend this stay.
