This cabin was overall pretty nice and in a peaceful location. There is a big window overlooking the pond. We were able to enjoy the night sky from inside, but unfortunately, the pond shown in the listing was partially dried out when we got there. The view of pond was part of the reason we booked here but was not as expected. After booking the reservation, we were informed that only 1 dog was allowed, but the listing details showed 2 dogs allowed. After multiple calls with airbnb and Vacasa, we were able to resolve the issue. The listing details still appears to be incorrectly showing 2 dogs allowed but now also states no pets. Overall it was a good stay, but we would probably not go back during the fall.

Beautiful location — we had great fall weather to sit on the porch overlooking the pond. A wonderful break from regular life. Beyond the actual house, it is worth noting there isn’t a whole lot to do in the surrounding area unless you drive 25+ minutes. If you’re looking for a retreat it’s perfect but if you’re looking for a lot of activities, this might not be the right area of New Hampshire.

I won’t be staying with Vacasa again. With this rental, you’re paying for location (which was great). But the house itself was pretty meh. No coffee, there was dog hair on the sheets, human hair on the pillows, pans were falling apart, the cribbage board didn’t have any pegs, the binoculars didn’t work, the remote control upstairs was filthy, etc. This was my first time staying at an Airbnb managed by a large company and I won’t do it again. The checkout time of 10 am is ridiculous and the instructions inside the house state that you can only have one roll of toilet paper. For the amount of money we spent, it all felt impersonal and like no one really cared about going above and beyond. Would not recommend.

We had a great time at this peaceful lake house! The views were gorgeous, we only saw neighbors once, and the place was well stocked with board games and linens. We’d definitely return in the future.

The cabin is in a beautiful location right on the water and just about one minute off of 153 which was great. We did however struggle to feel comfortable due to the poor condition of a lot of the building, and the excessive amount of spiders covering the cabin and within all of the windows and screens). Refuse and dog poop were scattered around the outside of the cabin and it was just in general disrepair (rotting windows, wet wood inside). The inside was clean and functional except for some mold on the ceiling, and the appliances are all up to date but I felt that at the current price they really charged more than it was worth. The area is beautiful but the property just needs some attention.
