My husband and I needed place with easy access to DC and to Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling. Janine's place fit the bill. We easily drove to JBAB and easily took the Metra Yellow Line into DC. The space was beautifully furnished and extremely clean. We enjoyed the lovely, historic nature of Alexandria and ate at several of the nearby restaurants. If you are looking for an affordable, clean, easy access spot for a trip to DC, this is it!

Excellent location: short walk to the Metro in one direction and easy walk to the beautiful Alexandria Waterfront Walk in the other. This is series of parks that run along the river, one of which drops right into the heart of Old Town. There are restaurants near Janine's place, as well as a grocery store. The room was welcoming and the bed was comfortable. Bathroom was squeaky clean. Even though there were different guests staying on the same floor while I was there, I did not hear them. It's a fairly short jaunt into DC, and even shorter to Crystal City/Pentagon City, which have lots of shopping and eating choices. Janine is friendly and helpful. She responds to texts right away, which I really appreciated because my work trip to DC was last minute and I was coordinating several moving parts.
