Andrew hat mich bei Ankunft persönlich begrüßt und herzlich willkommen geheißen. Er war jederzeit bereit mir mit Rat und Tat weiterzuhelfen. Er ist sehr interessiert an seinen Gästen und wir führten gute Gespräche miteinander. Die Einrichtung der Unterkunft ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Sie war sauber und aufgeräumt. Ich konnte mich selbst versorgen und sicher schlafen. Das Gästehaus liegt in einer eher ruhigen Wohngegend. Restaurants und Strand waren in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen. Für mich war es ein guter sicherer Ort, um nach dem Flug auf der Insel anzukommen, mich auszuruhen und mich auf die Weiterreise ins Landesinnere vorzubereiten. Danke Andrew

Andrew ist ein toller Gastgeber, er hat hilfreiche Tipps und Ideen, wie man seinen Aufenthalt möglichst schön gestalten kann. Die Lage der Unterkunft ist optimal, fußläufig zu den besten Stränden und direkt an der Restaurant Meile.

I chose Andrew's place as it was within my budget and met the criteria for being walking distance from the airport, near to restaurants, and near to a couple beaches. Andrew was also very accomodating and allowed me early check-in, and gave me an additional towel and toothpaste when requested. The place was exactly as pictured which admittedly was not the most modern. I intentionally did not walk with any electronics other than my phone so that I could unplug and relax. The tv in the room was a bit dated so that also encouraged me to be without streaming services for a few days. My room unfortunately shared a wall with the kitchen, and a ceiling with the attic, so noise travelled quite easily. There was also construction in a building nearby that made sleeping in late a bit difficult. Nevertheless, I was very happy to stay at Candles and would do so again. If you're ok with simple accomations and a friendly host, I would definitely recommend Andrew and Candles!

Candles is perfectly located in the Crown Point/Bon Accord area. Walking distance from the airport and steps to the main entertainment strip. Located on a quiet and safe street. Andrew is a great host that communicates well and makes you feel at home.
