The lodge is a beautiful open plan self catering lodge with beautiful views of the amazing Cornish countryside, it really is a peaceful location to truly relax and recharge. It's also a great base for exploring the great Cornish coast, just a mile from the coast path and the beautiful Seven Bays - Porthcothan, Treyarnon, Constantine, Booby's, Mother Ivey's, Harlyn & Trevone. The lodge has an open plan living space which incorporates a lounge area, dining area and kitchenette. Although compact, the kitchen offers full kitchen facilities. Off of the living area is a double bedroom and a second dressing room/study. A fold away single bed can be provided in the second room (additional fee applies so please contact in advance). A travel cot is also available on request. Please contact us in advance if either of these are required so that we may make arrangements.

My partner and I had an amazing stay at the lodge! We were in the area for a wedding and decided to make a long-weekend of it, which was the best choice. The lodge was super clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The welcome pasty was especially appreciated after the long drive! Chantal has done a great job of making the lodge feel private & secluded and we loved being able to open the double doors and sit out on the patio overlooking the fields and listening to the birds in the morning. Being just a 5 min drive from Treyarnon Beach and only about 10 mins to lots of other beaches and places to visit (including Padstow) it was the perfect base for exploring the area - all of which is just beautiful! Chantal was extremely responsive, friendly and helpful, giving us extra teabags and towels when we needed them and letting us have an early check-in so we could get ready for the wedding, which we really appreciated. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay - we will be back!

This was our second stay at Chantal’s place. We absolutely love it here, the location is perfect for the local beaches and for exploring Padstow. The facilities are excellent and cannot be faulted. We already can’t wait to come back!

Fantastic base for site seeing around Cornwall, coastal path and many beaches near to hand chalet was private with great view for sunrises. Chalet had all the amenities need and was spotlessly clean. & within walking distance of St Merryn village for pubs & restaurants.

The lodge is located in the heart of the Cornish countryside. The village, with pub, restaurants and shops is a 10-15 minute walk away (via road or field on public footpath). The nearest beach is a 10-15 minute walk away down a small country lane.
There is also a bus stop at the top of our drive. The bus goes to Padstow or in the opposite direction to Newquay. Both routes stop at various villages and beaches (Porthcothan being the nearest approximately 1 mile away) along the way.

Allocated parking is available for 1 vehicle. If further parking is required, please contact so that we can see whether we can accommodate this.
From the lodge is access to a network of public footpaths which facilitate access to the Cornish countryside and also to the village if desired.
The local beach is approximately a 10-15 minute walk away down a small country lane.
There is a bus stop at the end of the driveway. The bus passes hourly through the main season.
