Located in the village of Philomont, come and enjoy the beauty of Western Loudoun County. In between Middleburg and Purcellville and surrounded by rolling hills of the Blue Ridge, come and enjoy the beauty, visit a winery or brewery, take a walk or a hike, go antiquing, stop at the Philomont General Store for a sandwich, bottle of wine or ice cream. The cottage is very private and just a walk across the lawn to the Philomont General Store where you can pick up sandwiches, wine, sodas, ice cream, etc. It sits behind the main house (Three Lost Chickens) which was built in 1840. Jim and I can be found doing some project or another or playing with our two dogs, Lucy and Matilda. The gravel roads provide a lovely placeto take a morning or evening walk. In the cooler weather enjoy and evening by the fire pit or snuggle up next to the wood burning stove. Our property is not fully fenced but nice walks for dogs is right out your door - either way on Philomont Road takes you to pretty countryside views. You can walk down Philomont Road to Beaverdam Creek, which is always fun for dogs. Wineries and breweries surround us and are all a short drive away. Fabulous hikes along the Blue ridge and Appalachian trail are all within a short drive. There is wonderful food in Purcellville and Middleburg and in the surrounding area. The farm to table commitment is provides for exceptional meals. Come, relax, enjoy. The area is rural and agricultural. Please respect this by leashing your dog and minding horse riders when walking or driving.
