The cabin was beautifully furnished and charming. It was really clean, the area was peaceful. Plus it was a short trip to Augusta. We would definitely stay here again - highly recommended.

Private and very peaceful! The cabin itself is well-built and has pretty much anything you’d need. We were there for a week, ran to the local grocery store, and made our dinners there every night. The gas grill worked well! The spiral stairs were easy for us to traverse but there is a trundle type couch if you have bad knees because the peacefulness of the place is worth staying. We used it as home base for drives to New Hampshire for the fall colors, including Mt Washington (about 2 hrs away). It’s also about 2 hrs to Rangeley Lake and mountains, and 1-2 hrs to the ocean. An hour to Portland. Just a great central location. Sophie was great! We enjoyed eggs for her chickens on our first day! Nice firepit, relaxing furniture for around the firepit and on the porch. There is a drive through the lake community in the woods and the house is a bit further than GPS will tell you but Sophie’s directions made it easy. A great place! Would definitely stay again!

We stayed at Sophie's place for our anniversary get away. Everything was just as it was described. Very clean and neat and cozy. Everything was stocked and operational. The only thing different we would have done is we should have stayed longer. We would absolutely come back here again. Oh and the farm fresh eggs were the best! Thank you Sophie!
