Welcome to Hawk's Nest! Elevate your stay with a unique architectural space nestled under the starriest of ATX hill country skies. Hawk's Nest is inspired by the graceful hawks that swoop and soar the skies before nesting atop the oaks that surround the space. This special spot delivers great natural light and epic stars for cool daytime dips in the plunge pool and unmatched stargazing around the firepit -- all on your private walkout deck. Welcome to bliss, y’all. Hawk's Nest offers a private bedroom with a king bed and spacious en suite bath. The main space is open concept, with an uber-cozy living space with a comfy sofa that converts to a queen bed, and a fully equipped kitchen -- fridge, freezer, dishwasher, stove, oven, and all your cooking and dining essentials. The bathroom is spacious with a generous shower equipped with a delightful rain shower head, a vanity that offers space for your essentials, and a separate throne stall for added privacy. The bathroom also connects to the living space. The walkout deck is as large as the interior space, and features a firepit area with chairs for stargazing and marshmallow roasting, an 8-ft diameter plunge pool with an attached wood deck for toe-danglers, a full-size grill for al fresco cooking, an outdoor sofa and table for those who enjoy their coffee and naps outside, and a bonus day bed for lounging. Both the bedroom and the living room are outfitted with oversized glass sliders that open wide and offer gorgeous views into the surrounding trees.
Great stay. Easy to check in and leave. The scenery and peace cannot be beat. We went for a wedding in the area and had lots to do in our downtime. Sunset ridge was beautiful. Highly recommended for a mini nature getaway.
Amazing, serene space that provided exactly the peaceful pause I needed. Jessica was warm, kind and very responsive. Truly a perfect getaway.
Wonderful stay at this gorgeous hideaway just outside Austin. We had a great stay. The house matched the photos and description; really well equipped, comfortable bed and lovely bathroom. Pool on the deck good for a wallow. Sunset from the deck a short walk behind the house was beautiful.
Wow. 10 out of 10 stays! Not only was it completely peaceful at all times of our stay, but it lived up to the expectations. Came to Dripping Springs for a birthday weekend to see hill country for the first time, and staying at Jessica’s place really made the trip memorable. You wake up with an amazing view of trees, deer, and all of hill country. Will definitely be coming back!

自我介绍
Hi there! I'm Creature Comforts Chief at StayWoodsy, a collection of modern, secluded cabins built into the beautifully wooded landscape of our 30-acre property in the Austin hill country. I’m also a writer, an editor, a playwright, a reader, a roadtripper, an animal devotee, a wife and a mother. My husband and partner is a rock star builder whose prints are all over this property. He crushes it on the tractor, and is the artist behind the steel sculptures that pepper the property. Our two beautiful boys have four legs and pee outside. Our beautiful girl has two legs and prefers her bathroom. I majored in literature and creative writing at UT Austin, with a minor and graduate work in screenwriting. After moving to Los Angeles, I studied playwriting with Scott Horstein, who dramaturged for Arthur Miller on Resurrection Blues, and screenwriting with DreamWorks senior story analyst Pilar Alessandra. My writing has appeared in papers such as the Austin-American Statesman, The Austin Chronicle, The Boston Globe and The Denver Post, onstage at South Coast Repertory, and is regularly featured online. I enjoyed a 10-year career as managing editor at a news syndicate based in LA. Currently reading: Dear Edward Just finished: The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime, Little Birds Current movie recommend: My Octopus Teacher Best show IMHO: The White Lotus (and anything written by Mike White) Guilty pleasures: New Orleans, mac n cheese, bubbles in the hot tub Things that make me want to do more, better, something: PAWS Shelter of Central Texas, CASA for Children, Sea Shepherd, Navy SEALS, people who cook. Take-to-the-grave secret: my political affiliation. I edit right, left and center, so my political affiliation is none of my business. I divide my time unevenly between Joshua Tree, LA and Austin.
