The cottage was everything promised. It is perfect for two. Stylishly decorated, well stocked, comfortable, and extremely clean. We loved the screened porch and the lighting added an extra sparkle. The cottage is situated at the end of a lovely long treelined entrance. "The Cottage in the Woods" is aptly named as it does sit in the midst of a wooded area. A neat path through the surrounding woodland is available to guests, and makes for a peaceful walk. It is located in to Columbus NC, a small town with a surprising number of good restaurants. It is also near Tryon, Saluda, and not far from Hendersonville. Asheville is about an hour's drive. We truly enjoyed our stay. We were seeking a peaceful, relaxing get away in close proximity to nice restaurants and some interesting places. We fulfilled all our wishes.

This AirBNB was a rare find where the photos do not quite describe how beautiful and comfortable this lodging is. We found this cottage warm, super clean and inviting. There were many details that were exceptional: tea selection, water filter, well stocked kitchen and high end towels and bedding. The screened porch is a lovely place to have coffee/tea. It is clear that the hosts have thoughtfully considered every aspect of their customer’s experience. I’ve stayed in many AirBNB locations and this is one of the best! Thank you so much!

A great place to stay up in the mountains beautiful interior of the house as well the couch was very comfortable and the whole property was beautiful

My 8 year old son and I had an incredible 3 day weekend!! Lots of hiking, exploring, eating, and Denise’s listing is SUPERB. She’s thought of absolutely everything to make the stay enjoyable, and it’s so nicely appointed that it feels like a real home, not a rental. We will definitely visit again!
