Rustic isn’t usually my style, but my partner and I both thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We wished we could have stayed longer. The weather was beautiful in mid April and the forest around was lush, with no other structures in sight. The building itself was spotless, everything looked and felt freshly thoroughly cleaned and/or brand new. As long as you remember to bring everything you’ll need (which we did) and are at least ~open~ to the rustic off-grid experience, this is an amazing little hideaway where you can just get away from everything for a day or two.

You will need a good 4-wheeler to get to it, but that made me love it even more. Lots of wildlife, herds of deer that just chill outside. If you’re into animal tracking, there are plenty of prints to look at and identify since it’s located in what feels like the middle of nowhere. Trails were long and were a little hard to direct but as long as you know the general location of the cabin you’ll be fine. Night time was beautiful, moon lit up the forest, the firepit(and wood provided if needed) was perfect, and there was always a choir of animals going on even when I woke up. Beautiful fields as well if you need a break from the trees. Cabin itself is tiny but cozy. Has a wonderful space heater if needed and outlets. There is a journal where those who stay can write it, it left me crying and laughing. An Airbnb find that I will visit again- the energy is very spiritual and is a good stay for those who need to isolate. My dog appreciated it too. Owner was very friendly. Highly recc
