When adventure calls, you’re a quick drive to skiing, trailheads, mountain biking, and the shopping, restaurants, and attractions of Incline Village, just over the Nevada state line. At home, the tree-lined deck is the perfect spot for morning coffee and evening cocktails. Inside, you’ll find a soaring A-frame ceiling, hardwood floors, an open, lofted layout, and a cozy cabin feeling. Cook up delicious meals in the full kitchen, then grab a seat at the kitchen island, dining room table, or back outside on the deck to dine alfresco. After dark, cozy up in front of the fireplace and stream the latest release, watch some TV in the loft, or gaze at the stars through the floor-to-ceiling windows. Three well-appointed bedrooms await at the end of the night, where you can fall asleep dreaming of your first - and next - perfect Tahoe vacation day. <b>THINGS TO KNOW</b> Streaming services are available with guest accounts. I will give the benefit of the doubt that this place was recently mistreated by previous guests based on other reviews. However, I think that our booking should have been canceled knowing the status of the rental. I will start with the pros: -Excellent location. Close to grocery stores in Incline Village and Tahoe City. Cons: - The house was extremely dirty. Immediately upon arrival we found open cups of butter or whipped cream out on the counter from previous guests. There was a plate with cake left under the bed in one of the upstairs rooms. -The bedding was not changed on at least one of the beds before our arrival. The sheets smelled like BO and there were hairs on them. We had to do laundry for our bedding before sleeping the first night. -There are no blinds (or working blinds) on many windows - Spider infestation. I've stayed in Tahoe my whole life and never had to kill this many spiders. They dropped off bug spray but didn't send pest control as requested.
Cute home! The lake was no more than 10 min away from the cabin so it was very convenient. Safeway was also very close. There is a small local shop for renting out kayak located within 15 min from the cabin. Floors and bed frame are quite squeaky and the walls are thin enough.
Great place, easy access to north Tahoe. Safeway is 5 min away and it’s 24/7. Corners and windows could be more clean, but over all the common space was pretty spotless.
Overall it was good, but had some complaints which weren’t really resolved. First at arrival we noticed that there was a sign on top of the fireplace which stated to not to be used by guests. So that was a huge disappointment after driving for 10 hrs to reach the cabin. The deck was a complete mess. Blue die everywhere along with sequins all around. The grill was tipped over buried under the snow and broken so we weren’t able to use it whatsoever.
The actual home looks like it does in the pictures, the cleaning team does need to make sure they are accurately cleaning as we had a 19th month old toddler who found lose peanut m&ms under the upstairs bunk bed. Could have been a choking hazard if we were not there to stop her. The home is dark, there is not a lot of lighting in the bedrooms, or the common spaces. When we arrived, the electric outlets were not working in the living room. Even when checking the breaker as advised it was not fixed. We notified Vacasa, and they did not send anyone out or even follow up on the open ticket until 30 minutes before our checkout. Although they are responsive in the app, they do not actually come out to the property if you have an issue onsite. We called multiple times and were told that they would have someone follow up. The area was quiet, the house looks like the pictures although you can not use the fireplace. Beds were uncomfortable to all parties, and some of the blinds do not work
