The Lambing Shed has been lovingly restored; its interiors are luxurious. There’s an open plan living area, a well equipped kitchen, a lounge & seating area with an Optiflame stove for those chilly evenings. There’s a beautiful shower room with toiletries and dressing gowns & two gorgeous bedrooms which are impeccably presented with the finest linens, beautiful cushions and gorgeous throws. Set in a peaceful, tranquil setting with beautiful gardens, outdoor seating & amazing views of the moors. Beautifully furnished rooms throughout, an open plan living area which is spacious and airy. An Optiflame stove to create a warm and cosy feel on those chilly nights. A powerful shower to awaken the senses and a fully fitted kitchen to create the most delicious meals. A stunning outside area for alfresco dining or reading a book, enjoying a glass of wine or simply listening to bird song. The views over Bodmin moor and across to Dartmoor are simply stunning. A lovely few days away at The Lambing Shed, would definitely visit again
Lovely inland spot with quick access to all the beaches (around 30 mins drive). The property has been beautifully and thoughtfully converted. My partner and son were very happy with the shortbread on arrival. The feather duvet was heaven. Paula and Peter were great hosts and did not hesitate to share recommendations for days out. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to explore North Cornwall.

Quiet leafy Cornish lanes, surrounded by an area of outstanding natural beauty. Views of Bodmin moor and Dartmoor can be seen from the grounds surrounding The Lambing Shed. A moorland pub ‘The Rising Sun’ is less than a miles walk from the barn serving great food and local beers.
Altarnun village is approximately 1.5 miles and has the most beautiful church known as the Cathedral of the Moor. The village has a small tea room, Post office, village shop and Parish hall where they often hold craft markets.
The A30 is just a few miles away that accesses Devon and South Cornwall easily places like Fowey, Polperro, The Eden project and St Michael’s Mount whist the A39 in the other direction is just 10 minutes drive leading to some of the most stunning areas of the North Coast including Boscastle, Tintagel, Bude in one direction and Port Isaac, Polzeath, Rock and Padstow in the other.
Parking for 2 cars is available right outside The Lambing Shed on a private, gated drive.
The area is a walkers paradise with lots of footpaths and quiet lanes to explore, some taking you straight onto the moor towards Roughtor and Brown Willy; a bus runs from the village of Altarnun to Bodmin, Launceston and Camelford. There is a train station at Bodmin Parkway that takes you as far down as Penzance one way or up to London in the other direction.
Travelling around by car - the A30 and A39 are easily accessible with the North and South coast being almost equidistant from the barn.
