自我介绍
I got the idea to start hosting after my mother who has been successfully hosting in Diamondhead, MS for a couple years now. I am a full-time student, from Louisiana and love it; however, I'm constantly counting the days between the next chance I get to go somewhere else. My field of study revolves around the entertainment industry (music and film) thus most of my interests are related -- or spiral off as hobbies that I have picked up in between gigs. My place is a 3 bedroom apt in a great location in town as the listing describes. If you are looking for a private bedroom for yourself(s) with a comfortable queen size bed, a shared bathroom, kitchen access, and wifi -- then this will work perfect for you. I live in the apt so it isn't for events or to host guests unless they have been pre-approved by me or included in the reservation (+$25 per additional guest after 2). Today I added a bedside table and lamp in the guest room. With each guest that visits I am using a portion of my profits to enhance the Airbnb experience for my guests by upgrading an amenity or the page itself. I also updated and took nice photos for the listing today. You should be able to see a little bit of improvement I hope. I say all this to let my guests know that I am new to this and learning so please be mindful of that when reviewing my place. I don't charge or sell it as a five-star hotel, I try to market it for what it is and with honest communication comes a reasonable expectation from the guest. It helps me and my business succeed and move forward and it helps keep my guests happy. Here is the standard that I've told each of my guests so far. Check in is at 5pm. Check out is at 12pm. ***If you need an earlier check-in time or check-out time, it is possible that I may be able to accommodate, however it is not to be expected. In the event that I am able to, it is because the guest was proactive and efficient at communicating their needs to me in advance to decide whether or not that would work for me. Every time I have opened up for guests either early or late, they were kind enough to leave a gratuity and let me tell you... it really not only put a smile on my face but left a good impression on me. I say that to my guest(s) not just to illicit a tip, but also to make them aware that the way we behave, the way that guest behaved for me, continually shapes the way I feel about hosting and the type of experience I provide moving forward. Thus the experience you will receive is a result of the experiences that came before you. House Guidelines -Please communicate as best as possible your itinerary with me either in person or via messaging. It helps workflow, scheduling, and really helps keep things moving efficiently. -Please do not bring guests that were not pre-authorized (at the very least discussed) or included in the reservation. -Please clean up after yourself. I provide things like towels and other necessities. Please do not leave them out for others to clean up after you. There are designated areas for laundry, dishes, or trash. -Please respect my things, my home, and my neighbors. The way you behave, will shape the experience those after you will receive. -Please start to wind down or keep noise to a minimum after midnight unless pre-discussed with the host. -The food in the refrigerator is not included in your Airbnb experience. If you are a guest in my home and find yourself in a pickle, get hungry, and would like to make something you are welcome to use my plates, utensils, microwave. ***If you would like a food item that you see, it is okay to ask if you may inquire about it. When I have found myself in this position, I have always felt more comfortable offering something for something whether that be currency, goods, and or services, it doesn't matter. As long as I let my host know that I don't expect anything and that I understand nothing is free. Again, I say this not just to illicit a gratuity but to shape a pleasant experience for future guests. -If you brake, stain, misplace, loose something of mine and KNOW IT, please come forward with this information. It is always better to be upfront in circumstances like this because in then we can work something out. If I have a guest brake something and leave without telling me, what do you think will happen? I would start charging security deposits. Which would again, shape the experience of future guests. Not everyone can afford to spend an additional 100 on the security deposit when making a reservation. One wouldn't be necessary if people were just decent. So in closing, the biggest and most important rule to remember is treat me and my home, BETTER than you would want you and your home to be treated, because that's how I will treat you!
