埃弗格林(Evergreen) · 整套小木屋 · 2室3床1.0卫 · 可住6人 · Historic Cabin in the Evergreen Foothills
Originally erected in the 1930s for the WPA workers building Mt. Evans pass, this rustic cabin nestled in the foothillls is almost a century old. The logs, windows, and fireplace are all original, but don't worry - the bathroom was recently gut renovated and there's central heating as well :) The main cabin is one (queen) bedroom complete with a full kitchen, living room, dining room, and a sun room in front. And the private deck out back overlooks a beautifully serene little Aspen grove. The smaller cabin, or studio, is just across the yard. It features a queen bed, desk, and its own closet and mini fridge. However it doesn’t have its own bathroom. Great for extra privacy or even a hint of adventure, but not so great for frequent late night bathroom trips ;) The living room sofa also folds out into a full size bed. The cabin has central heating via thermostat (so you wouldn’t be relying on the fireplace!).
The value of this property is what attracted me. The house is very homely. It had a coffee pot and filters ready for the first morning. It also had a coffee bean grinder! This was fantastic bc I bought whole beans in town on accident. The location is wonderful. Secluded enough but 10 minutes from town and 25 minutes from echo mountain. Echo is not really for true beginners but we had a great time. Linens and dishes were all clean. Laura has an extra space heater and the record player got used every day. She has a great collection of records including the lumineers and Earth Wind and Fire! I was traveling for leisure but the wifi worked well for 5 devices. Wish I could live in Laura’s house during the summer. We did however enjoy the 6 inches of snow that fell the day or two before we got to evergreen. Thank you Laura for an awesome trip!
Laura had a beautiful and homey space for a cabin trip! It was secluded enough to be in a quiet space but not too far from the city! She had so many games and pots/pans accessible for us to use as well. The best part was how quickly the house warmed up with the heater during a cold winter day :)
Great scenic place literally on the mountain the drive can be scary if you haven’t done it before on. The home was comfortable and who me kitchen was stocked with pause plates, etc.. the price of the house, the host everything was amazing!
I had a great time staying in Laura’s cabin for my first visit to Colorado! It was warm and homey. We couldn’t ask for better for the price!
The neighborhood was originally erected in the 1930s, for the workers building out Mt. Evans pass. The neighborhood is dotted with the original log cabins, outhouses, and even a community "library" (a tiny one room cabin with books, games, and movies for the kiddos) across the street from this cabin, that used to be a pastor's lodgings.
