Tansley, a small rural community with two warm pubs and several vibrant garden centres, is blissfully located in the Derbyshire Dales, only two miles from Matlock. Just 2 miles away, the county town of Matlock was well-known from 1698 to 1950 for its warm springs, which offered water therapy to travellers from near and far. Leys Hall Park, located in the centre of the town, offers a lovely setting for a variety of recreational activities, including bowling, mini golf, tennis, boating, and a children's play area. The town also offers several fine eateries, good shops, an interesting museum, and a host of other amenities. With its owl maze, water gardens, natural paths, exhilarating rides, and cable car flights over the picturesque Matlock Gorge, Gulliver's Kingdom is a wonderful place to spend the day. The market town of Bakewell, Chatsworth House and Park, and Haddon Hall are all within easy driving distance, and the neighbouring High Peak Cycle Trail offers a magnificent experience.
