We would have loved to give them a 5 star review - the apartment was lovely and a lot bigger than expected. Reasons we gave 3 stars: 1. It was absolutely freezing when we arrived and took about 5 hours to warm up to a bearable temperature. The heating was only schedule to be on from 6am-8am and 4pm-8pm. We had to turn it on with the fear of being charged for “excessive use of the heating” in order to be warm, as per the house rules that we only received after booking. 2. Lack of provisions of basic needs. They stated in the booking that they didn’t provide salt, pepper, oil etc. but what they did provide was in very small quantities- we had to go out and buy items for our stay. 3. They told us we needed to be in the apartment for a fire safety check on a specific day and time. As it was our last day and we had to check out anyway, we were available to be there. But if it had been any other day, it would have been inconvenient. It was a lovely space, but we wouldn’t come back.
The central location is perfect to explore the local town and amenities, as well as the coastline. Public transport routes are close by, giving you access to the city of Newcastle, and neighboring towns.
