What a lovely and peaceful gem was the Mulberry cottage. We spent one month there enjoying every little bit of it. If you like privacy, nature, hiking, home cooking and book reading, then this house is for you. Spacious and cozy, clean and well stocked, bright and mosquito free, comfy beds and sheets, magical garden. A special mention are the hosts, Jerry and Sally. Always happy to help and friendly and caring. Thank you for everything. You are our Sri Lankan favourite connection.

Just to be clear: this is a simple living type of cottage and the road to get there is tricky (we’d strongly recommend a car with good clearance if you’re coming by car). However, once you get there it is well worth it! The view and tranquility of the place is amazing. Jerry and Sally are super friendly and welcoming and make you feel at home – the door to their neighbouring house (main house) is always open, and you’re welcome to use the pool in their garden, or just hang out and have a chat with them in the living room. They also offer breakfast and dinner (there’s a basic kitchen in the cabin if you want to cook yourself), and this was for us both convenient and very nice – we had some good talks with both Jerry, Sally and their other guests. This was a good starting point for the first (and second) stage of the Pekoe Trail nearby (15/20 min by tuk tuk). We highly recommend!

Really recommend this house. Magical, homely, cozy, really quiet. In the forest, with the magic of the jungle, spectacular birds, an inviting swimming pool, and everything you need for a pleasant stay. The staff is pleasant and welcoming!

Un havre de paix au milieu des plantations de thé, des vallées montagneuses et des petits animaux des bois. de nombreuses promenades à proximité. un accueil des plus chaleureux avec un personnel toujours au petits soin. sans oublier la somptueuse piscine et les délicieux repas... bref, notre plus beau séjour au Sri Lanka ! L'endroit nous manque déjà...
