Enjoyable weekend at the Byre. beautiful peaceful location. Host recommended Black Bull pub which was approx 20min walk and well worth it as food excellent. Hot tub was fantastic watching the stars on a clear night. Rosie & Dave very responsive with any queries and we appreciated the bottle of bubbly and home baking very much. Road to property not great, this is describes before you book and is doable if you take your time

I have just returned from my stay at the Byre cottage with friends for a long weekend of walking and outdoor activities. We had the most amazing time with lots to do nearby (15-20 minute drive to gorgeous walks, whisky distillery, goape etc) and a lovely little community owned pub in the town not far. The house was gorgeous with a brilliant open plan living area downstairs and perfectly clean and comfortable bedrooms both downstairs and upstairs. The views from the house are stunning. We had a lovely evening watching the sunset over the snowy mountains from the hot tub outside. Rosie and her husband are amazing hosts and made sure we had everything we needed! They gave us recommendations and made sure we knew where to find them if we had any questions or issues. 10/10 stay at a gorgeous house. Couldn't have asked for a better trip!

A lovely, quiet place to stay. It was a great place to relax and get away from everyday life in a beautiful surrounding. Rosie was a lovely host and made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for her. The house was lovely and even with 7 people staying there, there was plenty of room and we never felt we were invading each other spaces.

the place was open and comfortable. nice and clean place. beautiful location, great view from the hot tub. great for walks. only one local pub in town about a mile away, run by community but very friendly place to have your dinner and drinks. no shops near by so stock up before you get there. the electric cooker was a pain but we got their eventually and moved the pan to other rings, it automatically switches off if it heats up ring for too long. log fire middle of the lounge and kitchen/diner was amazing. Rosie was very helpful and welcomed us in early when we checked in. she left us a bottle of prosecco and plate of oat cakes. you can reach out to her anytime, made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. I will certainly go again.
