One of the nicest weekend get away I’ve had. Super convenient for putting the boat in the water and fishing all day. Place was super clean and comfortable. Would stay here every time without a doubt
Our recent stay at Blue Heron cottage in Mineral, VA, provided the perfect backdrop for our fishing trip. Nestled in a picturesque setting with direct lake access, the cottage offered everything we needed for a memorable escape. Morning views from the porch were a serene start to our days, and the convenience of a nearby boat ramp and docking facility was a major plus for us. The cottage itself has a cozy, lived-in charm, with a layout that felt just right for our group, though it might feel snug for larger parties. The kitchen, while compact, had all the essentials for our needs. Most importantly, the hosts were outstanding in their responsiveness, making our stay smooth and enjoyable. For anyone looking for a peaceful fishing getaway with easy lake access, Blue Heron is a delightful choice. We’re grateful for the memories and would consider returning.
We had a great and relaxing anniversary weekend! We would watch the boats launch from the marina while we rocked in the chairs on the deck and drank coffee. At night, we watched the sunset and sat by the fire. Alex was very responsive in checking in on us and provided recommendations. Thank you for a memorable weekend!
Quiet neighborhood with other residential homes nearby and 100+ acre farm across the street. Small boat rental (6 boats) marina on-site with discounts for guests to rent pontoons, bowriders, or jet skis. However, the property is over 5 acres and the other side is very private.
