Portofino is situated on 28 beautiful acres in Pensacola Beach between the emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico and the gentle shores of Santa Rosa Sound. It is also adjacent to the pristine Gulf Islands National Seashore. The land itself is called Santa Rosa Island; it is the world’s largest barrier island.

In the summer months the Island Authority offers public transportation via an open air tram that is complimentary. It runs every 1/2 hour Memorial Day - Labor Day. 4:00 PM-Midnight.
The best way to tour the island is to rent a bike or golf cart through our Adventures Department onsite. They are available by the hour and 1/2 day rentals.
Use the resort's complimentary shuttle to spend the day at Laguna’s Beach Bar & Grill which has lots to do ~ Go Carts, Ropes Course, Splash Pad, Zip Rail and Clip & Climb structures provide all day fun! Special day pass pricing available.
