My stay was very productive in the Roanoke area. I can recommend Clarence’s home for anyone needing a safe warm and comfortable place to lay their head and cook their meals. Very easy access to bus line and a truly walkable city. Grocery store, coffee shops close by. Easy access to the River Greenway hiking/biking trails. Take in Mill mountain and walk up to see the Star of Roanoke and the great view. It’s well worth the your time. I’ll be back to do some serious bike riding next time I am passing through. There is the star on the hill and another star in the neighborhood. Great job Clarence.

Clarence was always very responsive to my few requests. Like one morning the bed room door knob came loose from the inside. He responded immediately and came out from work to repair this issue. Upon entering the home I felt like I was walking into my mom’s home, well kept and organized to the highest level. Clean, warm, safe and that warm glow of “being home”. I will certainly stay here next time I come to Roanoke. Easy short walk to one of the best mass transit systems I’ve experienced. Clean well run bus service, I had no reason to use a car. Walkable safe environment with close walkable access to green way trails. Top notch.
