西萨塞克斯 · 牧羊人小屋 · 1室1床1.0卫 · 可住2人 · A cosy Shepherd's Hut in South Downs National Park
Whether you want to snuggle up on a crisp autumn morning or take a walk among the butterflies in the meadows, bathed in the summer sun, our delightful Shepherd's hut is ideal for a relaxing and romantic getaway or used as a base for exploring the National Park. It has all the creature comforts of home with wonderful views across the fields and woods. Climate Pledge - We will plant one tree per guest on the farm. The Hut is like a hotel room, but on the edge of a small wood and has everything you need for a relaxing weekend away or a week long stay. It has a kitchenette (with fridge, 2 ring hob, toaster, microwave and kettle), an en-suite toilet/shower room and living/dining area with a smart TV (with Roku player). Bedding and towels are included. There is cosy heating (with a log burner - ideal for the colder months). A travel cot can be provided for guests with infants (please note that bedding is not provided for the travel cot and guests staying with an infant will need to bring their own bedding).
It was an absolute pleasure to stay in The Hut. The shepherds hut was pristine, comprehensively equipped and very comfortable. The location/setting was perfect and I had a good selection of outdoor furniture to enjoy the good weather. I felt the right balance of privacy/solitude, but also reassurance that Matt & Mandy were responsive if I needed anything. The highlight of my stay were the two friendly rescue sheep just outside the Hut - a reason in themselves to stay here! I’m planning on returning as soon as I have a good enough excuse to!
Matt was so lovely and flexible with my booking. He messaged to check in after the first night to make sure I was comfortable staying in the Hut (I spent the first night by myself). There was a lovely pack full of ideas of things to do, along with very clear instructions on how to work everything. And if there was anything I needed, I felt that Matt was very approachable and happy to help. The views from the windows of the hut were absolutely gorgeous, and it was adorable to be greeted by two sheep baa-ing and running towards the fence for head scratches. The warm sun on the bed first thing in the morning was gorgeous, and the log burner and fairy lights in the evening made the place feel super cosy. I would recommend staying in this hut to anyone who is looking for a relaxing, peaceful retreat on a beautiful farm. Thank you again, Matt (and Mandy)! ☺️
Set an a beautiful farm in the woods Kids loved the treehouse. Out having campfires. Lovely relaxing few days
Me and my girlfriend stayed here for 2 nights, it was a beautiful place to stay and we would definitely recommend and would stay again. The scenery was incredible, we went on a walk in the area and ended up walking over 10 miles, there are endless footpaths, should you leave early in the morning, you could walk for the entirety of the day. The cabin was also very sweet, it was amazing to wake up to the view of the farm from bed - overall it was a great experience and a 10/10 weekend getaway!
The farm is set deep within the beautiful South Downs National Park and is surrounded by trees and fields.
Primrose wood is a small hazel copse (2 acres) in one corner of Hazelbank Farm (see photo).
The village (0.8 miles) has the Rising Sun Pub and Milland Stores (a village shop and café which sells everything you will need for your stay).
Take a look at our guestbook for ideas on days out.
Liphook (3.5 miles/10mins drive to the North) is a large village. It has a Sainsbury's Supermarket (c/w petrol station) and a cycle shop. For food it has a Chinese and an Indian take away as well as a Fish and Chip shop and 4 pubs. It also has a train station and is on the London (Waterloo) to Portsmouth mainline.
Petersfield (8 miles/20mins drive to the South) is a pretty market town with many restaurants, pubs and shops. It has a Waitrose, M&S Food, Lidl, Pizza Express, and a McDonalds. The Taro Center is the towns leisure centre.
Midhurst (4.4 miles/15mins drive to the Southeast) is another pretty market town. This has several pubs, restaurants and shops and is home to the South Downs National Park's Visitor Information Centre.
自我介绍
I am the National Trust’s Head Ranger at the nearby, picturesque Devil’s Punch Bowl and Frensham Little Pond. With my wife, Mandy, and two teenage daughters, we own Hazelbank Farm which is home to an Airbnb glamping pod and Shepherd's Hut. I love the great outdoors and you can often find me somewhere in a field or on a hike.
