The Commander's Palace is accessed via the first driveway on the left, past the entrance to Westport Winery Garden Resort on South Arbor Road. This is a quiet residential neighborhood. Guests need to strictly obey the posted 25mph speed limit. The road beyond the winery is a dead end with several private homes. Guests are welcome to explore the gardens on foot and with their dogs on leash. It is just a minute to walk from the suite to the International Mermaid Museum, Westport Winery, the Sea Glass Grill and Ocean's Daughter Distillery. Guests can borrow golf clubs and discs for free from the museum. Horseshoes and bocce are always set up for play.

There is ample parking in front of the Commander's Palace. Guests will find that several areas near the home have signage noting that there is no parking. This home is in the area of the working winery where large trucks and forklifts work, so careful adherence to posted parking makes everyone's life easier! There are no sidewalks on South Arbor Road so guests are discouraged from walking in this rural private neighborhood. However, the 20-acre garden resort has abundant trails and paths to explore. If you need beach towels be sure to add them when you pack as we only provide bath towels.
