PLEASE READ IN ENTIRETY BEFORE BOOKING: About the property: Punta Bungalows sits on 4 lots. It is one of the largest pieces of land in La Punta. We have two entrances situated between two streets. There are a total of 10 bungalows on property. Our property manager and security live in 2 of them, and the other 8 are reserved for guests. We used to be a hostel that could fit 40 people, however, after some recent renovations and updates, we only take 14 - 16 guests at a time for both long-term and short-term rentals. The property is surrounded by some of the most beautiful gardens you will find in all of Puerto Escondido. Mango, papaya, pineapple, banana, fig, apples, and many other fruit trees line the property. We just finished building a pool! Please note: 1. We do not have AC. AC is horrible for the environment and our health. We are lucky to have a constant breeze throughout the property. Each room is equipped with at least 2 fans. Additionally, because we are in a desert, it starts to cool down at night. 2. As well as being in a desert, we are also in the jungle, which means there is a lot of life here. Mosquitoes, pollinators, iguanas, squirrels, and the occasional scorpion. Nothing is poisonous and nothing will bother you, except for some mosquitoes. We provide mosquito nets, electric bug zappers, and bug spray. 3. The property and bungalows are rustic and quirky. They are comfortable, safe, and charming. If you are looking for something recently built and modern, this is not the property for you. Punta Bungalows is an authentic Puerto Escondido stay. We have Starlink internet. Our lowest recorded speed is 10 mbps and our highest is 220 mbps. This fluctuates based on satellite position and how many users are using it. We have no control over when it will be its highest or its lowest. However, there are very few Starlink properties in La Punta and the alternatives are impossible to do any type of work, streaming, gaming, etc. We are grateful to be one of the few properties that can provide this exceptional service. There is some construction going on around the property, but this is all of Puerto Escondido, as it is very much underdevelopment still. They usually work from 8 am - 5 pm on weekdays.
