Colourful Grade 11 listed townhouse based in the centre of the beautiful Brecon Beacons. The perfect place to stay for 2 people, within a 2-minute walk of the town centre. This stunning townhouse is full of original character. Spread over 3 floors, spacious country-style farmhouse kitchen, large living room, two sizeable bathrooms (with two bathtubs!), a main bedroom. PLEASE NOTE: I’m currently having some building work done in the garden and the garden is out of use at the moment.
Had a fantastic stay this weekend. The location is perfect, literally a minutes walk to the town centre and ideal for exploring the wider area and national park. Highly recommended and would definitely stay again.
The townhouse is very pleasant with lots of character, amenities and lovely added extras from the host. It's really spacious and the huge bath was amazing! The location is great for walking around Brecon Beacons and good to be so close to town for shops/restaurants. However, being located on a busy road meant there was a lot of traffic noise and vibrations through the building, which I guess is the trade off.
The house was exactly as expected, and in an easy to get to location. Alex was really helpful with answering our questions about local parking, and when we had an issue with the internet she responded immediately to get it sorted.
Absolutely loved this stay. A gorgeous apartment with everything we needed. Spacious and comfy - exactly as described. The check-in was smooth and Alex was very communicative. Loved the little extra touches, like the tulips - so thoughtful. Great location in the centre of town - all amenities nearby- and great access to walking routes. Would absolutely recommend. Thank you!!
Brecon is blessed with two National Trails and a National Park, this is fabulous walking and thinking country. Brecon is a charming and lively market town with a year-round program of cultural events including the Hay Festival, Green Man, HowTheLightGetsIn, and Brecon Jazz draws visitors from all over the world.
Little can match the enjoyment of ambling along a canal towpath or riverside path, exploring a wildflower carpeted wood, being rewarded with breathtaking views from the top of one of our mountains or being dazzled by our star bedecked dark skies.
As a Dark Sky Zone, there are plenty of stargazing events, where you can peer at provide meteor showers through a telescope. Or just step outside, look up, and prepare to be dazzled!
Brecon may feel remote, but it’s very well-connected. It’s straightforward to get here by public transport or car.
PARKING:
There is a public car park (Kensington Car Park – Sat Nav, LD3 9AN), a few minutes walk away from the house. You can park there for a maximum of four hours between the hours of 8am – 6pm. It is also free after 6pm until 8am.
Free off-street parking is also dotted around the area.
The nearest would be opposite The Castle Hotel (LD3 9qDB) and in the residential area around there. This is a two/three-minute walk away. You can also try driving over Llanfaes Bridge, turning into the road alongside Llanfaes Dairy (LD3 8AH). All on-street parking in that area is free. This would be approximately an 8-minute walk from the house.
