We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Tim's house - what we were looking for was a place to relax and unwind, and this fit the bill perfectly. The house and views are as amazing as they look in the pictures. The layout of the house is really nice, great view of the ocean, we hardly heard another person the whole time we were there, and had great rainforest sounds at night. Tim was a great host, checking in now and then to make sure we had all we needed, but not overly so, just the right amount for us.

What a place to get away! Just checked out of our four night stay and we had an amazing trip. The house is beautiful. Large and airy with huge sliding doors everywhere and an amazing view. The kid loved waking up every morning to explore the jungle and pick fresh fruit. The loquats were a huge hit. We ate every meal on the huge wraparound porch overlooking the ocean. There is a very modern kitchen with all the amenities if you love to cook. We cooked most of the meals on the grill outside while rotating between the hot tub, pool table and the pool. I will say during our stay the pool was a little chilly which I found very refreshing but the kid would hop over to the hot tub after about 15 min. Tim was by far the best host I've experienced while using a Airbnb. He was very responsive to the few questions we did have and checked in with us to make sure everything was going well. If you want a relaxing and peaceful stay I would recommend in a heartbeat!

We had a great time here! Fabulous place for families. The kids loved the pool and hot tub, but I think their favorite part was wandering the grounds picking fruit from the huge variety of fruit trees and plants. There was a nice variety of games that we played in the evenings. The kitchen is well appointed and we were able to prepare some fabulous meals. The sunsets from the deck are stunning! Tim is a great host and was easily available for any questions that came up. Would definitely stay here again.

Every year we come to Hawaii, we look to stay in local communities, away from tourist haunts. Papa Belle was like a private retreat. We ate simple breakfasts accompanied by fruit from the trees on the property - bananas, papaya and oranges were in season. Lounged on the big lanai. Played board games and used the billiards table. Drove to Volcano National Park(1.5 hr drive) for a day. Explored South Point and the green sand beach(45 mins drive) for a day. While out, enjoyed delicious meals at local family owned eateries. Watched sunsets from the hot tub. Cooked dinner in the well stocked kitchen or on the grill. Cherished quality time with family. Didn’t use the pool because of temps but it was the perfect weather to sit out all day. Didn’t use the TV because there were just more inviting activities. In a word, Papa Belle was idyllic! Mahalo to Tim for being such a caring and proactive host.
