We had a wonderful stay in George Town. Lots to see and do! Catherine’s place is very well located from many attractions, restaurants and shops. The facilities were good and we very much appreciated the complimentary washing machine and clothes drying rack facilities. The accommodation is a shared floor with three other rooms and a communal living room and kitchen area. The check-in and check-out instructions were very clear and picking up a Grab ride from straight outside was never an issue. The only one issue we had was unfortunately with the mattress as it was badly warn on one side making it pretty uncomfortable. But other than that we had a great stay and would highly recommend as good value 😊

First of all, I would like to thank Catherine for accepting my last-minute reservation. I think she is not in the house. So, she does not know the situation in the room. I am a professional traveler, and this is the dirtiest airbnb I have ever stayed. ☹️ There were a pan and a pot to cook in the kitchen and one of them was burnt and the other one was so oily. It literally has a layer of grease. Cups were so oily because they were not washed well. So, we couldn’t cook anything and even touch anything in the kitchen. I really did not like the concept of having the shower inside the small toilet. It was very difficult for me to take a shower without touching the toilet. There was no place to put my shampoo and all so I put them on the toilet which was dirty for me. The walls need renovations as well. Plus, there was a red bug in the room. However, the house is in a very nice location. You can walk anywhere. 🥰 The owner is nice and you can find a hairdryer and an iron in the house. 🎊

The instructions for the check in were very clear, so it was easy to get in the room. Only thing I would suggest is to mention in which floor the room is The room was clean, had aircon, and bed was comfortable. Common areas were spacious, but guests didn't really respect the quiet times, and you could hear everything from inside of your room. Enough bathrooms for all guests so it wasn't a problem to share them. Big plus that it had a washing machine to do your laundry for free!

Good location next to komtar although a bit of a walk to get into the unesco part of the town. Well run space with daily cleaning, good aircon communal area. It loses a star because the room I was given was windowless and I didn’t like the smell of the aircon.
