I had a wonderful stay at the Glaros rooms on Ikaria :). Zoe and her father were incredibly kind and helpful and when I had small issues they immediately resolved them. Excellent value, clean and comfortable rooms. Not fancy loud resort living but relaxed calm hotel rooms in a great location. I had a very spacious room with a comfortable bed and plenty of closet and drawer space, fridge and desk, etc. Excellent value for a nice room with everything you need. The room was really clean when I arrived and Anna was really sweet and always there with fresh towels and linens every few days. The location is ideal because you are away from noise (except for some minor infrequent traffic and people noise a few times) but a nice easy walk 5-10 minutes to everything. You can walk to the beach in about 6 minutes and also walk to the capital Agios Kirykos in about 20/25 minutes along a beautiful coastal path. Definitely do the walk for the great view but also because the grocery stores there are good ones to stock up on supplies and you can get a taxi at the taxi stand at the end of the pier if needed for about 4 euros. There's just one short but steep hill there and back but worth it and it's not a tough walk. I recommend getting a room with a balcony if you go in the summer so you can dry your things outside because you will spend most days at the beach in Therma or at the beautiful ones down the coast - best to drive or take a taxi to those. Zoe's dad has a taxi so it's super convenient for the airport and other drives. Glaros is 5-6 minutes walk to Therma's small beach and you can swim under the little dock bridge or walk down to the thermal waters in a minute. The friendly dive shop is next door and offers really inexpensive dive and snorkeling experiences. Side note: Ikaria and Therma has its own pace and rhythm so it's not a luxury party place but has a great balance of relaxing beach days and driving adventures and also fun people amid the more reserved older crowd who c0me for the healing waters. Head to Nama Bar for great non traditional food, beach view, and wonderful people or one of the beach front cafes for local food. If you want more options for nightlife Agios is a 5 minute drive. Don't expect resort living but a more genuine rustic, mellow beach experience and you'll love your stay. Friendly, genuinely caring hosts in a perfect location :)

Ok, first of all I had booked Zoe's place for 6 weeks, from mid July til the end of August and I'm still here, extended the stay for another 2 months. I think that speaks for itself.. The apartment is one of four, two have a little well equipped kitchenette. The family luckily lives in the same building, so if any problem someone is always near and happy to solve it. The rooms are well kept and have everything you might possibly need, but if there's anything you'd want or need, just ask, the Glaros family are the most warm- hearted people on earth! The house is excellent positioned, exactly 4 minutes walking distance from the little beach, bakeries, shops, taverns etc. We had a rental car for several days and explored the whole island couple of times but were happy every time we came home to Therma because here all is within reach where in other villages you'd need a car for your daily needs. Therma has such relaxed vibes that it's not at all surprising people forget to die on this island at all! I think during this corona 2020 it was the best decision of the year to move here for the summer and try and learn some Greek. People do speak English but it's nice to try and make some effort. The hot springs are a huge surplus as other reviewers already have mentioned. While I'm writing this I am actually laying on my sun lounger at the beach and very very happy that I changed my flight to the end of October. The apartment is easily big enough for two people, you're spending a lot of time on the balcony or elsewhere outside anyway. Beside us even resided a little family with their 1years old little boy. All is wonderful over here and I honestly hope this is not attracting too many travellers now because we'd sure like to come back! Agios Kirikos the little island capital is within 15- 20 minutes walking distance. From there you might book a 5 Euro ferry to the neighbouring island Fournoi for a change. During the summer there's a 1 Euro Taxiboat connecting Terms and Agios. Also a Mini bus regualy back & over. Now life becomes quieter but especially during August we were very happy not to stay right at the beach where life can get pretty loud and late until the early mornings whereas Glaros rooms are exquisitely situated above it all facing the mountain side and rainforest- like greenery. I could spend hours on that balcony.. Thank you very much for Everything dear Zoe and family!!!

Πολύ ευγενικοί και βοηθητικοί οικοδεσπότες, απλά το δωμάτιο δεν είχε τις παροχές που περιμέναμε όπως air condition/ ανεμιστήρα και είδη υγιεινής.

I liked Glaros Rooms very much. Citrus ripened on trees next to my balcony. Grapes ripened on arbors. My host brought me an armful! Delicious! The rooms are a short pleasant walk into Therma where healing spring waters are available in bath houses or in a cave off shore. Coffee houses, bakery, grocery stores and restaurants form around the crescent bay of beautifully blue Aegean waters. Lovely! In the spring, summer, and autumn a water taxi or bus will take you to Agios Kirikos, the capital of Ikaria, where more shopping and activity is available, but be brave and walk along the mountain from town to town. You won’t be sorry: the views are breath taking.

zoe est une hote d exception.A peine arrivee elle me montrait deja les bains chaids de terma pour me relaxer apres le trajet.Elle est chaleureuse et attentionnée envers ses voyageurs.Pleine de bons conseils et de suggestion.Je note egalement une réactivité de réponse a la moindre question.Je me suis trés bien senti chez Zoe.Elle aime son ile et partage avec plaisir des informations.la vue sur la montagne est tres reposante.Le.rapport qualite prix ne fait nul doute.je vous recommande les chambres de Zoe
