The apartment is located in the historic city center, in a strategic position to admire all the beauties of the city "with 100 churches", all easily reachable on foot or by bike! Waking up in the morning it will almost seem like you can touch the ancient city walls: an experience you won't forget! It is on the third floor of a historic building, therefore without a lift, but it is very bright given its position and is located in a very quiet street. The "San Leonardo" apartment is located on the third and last floor of a building in the old town (Lucca's city center), therefore it does not have a lift. It has been recently renovated and has all the comforts that will make your stay in the city of walls pleasant and unforgettable: air-conditioning, coffee machine, washing machine and an equipped kitchen are waiting for you to be used! Ideal for a family or a group of travellers, thanks to the comfort of its 3 bedrooms 2 double bedrooms and one single) and 2 large bathrooms, both with shower, the apartment also has a living area and a large, well-stocked kitchen essential for cooking at home. Wake up every morning with a view of the historic walls and roofs of the old city: you will be able to immerse yourself in the centuries-old history of Lucca from the first moments of the day! The main attractions of the city, as well as restaurants, clubs and wine bars, are all easily reachable on foot or by bike, given that "San Leonardo" is located in an enviable position: the amphitheater square is only 400m away while the historic walls only a few tens of meters. Your privacy will still be ensured: the street where the apartment is located is very quiet and during your stay you will feel just as if you have always lived in Lucca! Places of interest near Lucca are: Pisa (25 minutes by train/car), Florence (50 minutes by train/car), the beaches of Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi (20 minutes by car), Montecarlo and the wine region of Lucca (15 minutes by car), Montecatini terme (20 minutes by train/car), Garfagnana (40 minutes by car).

Lovely apartment in a beautiful city. Simone was there to meet us on arrival, to show us around and give some information. He got back to me quickly with a couple of questions I had and also organised a transfer back to the airport. Had a great time.

Simone ist ein hilfsbereiter, kompetenter Gastgeber, immer offen für Fragen. Die Wohnung ist schlicht und stilvoll eingerichtet, freundlich mit malerischen Ausblicken, aber durch ihre Lage im obersten Stock im Sommer recht heiß: Die Klimaanlage ist wirklich nötig. Die steile Stiege könnte für ältere Menschen eine Heraus- oder Überforderung sein. Wir haben das Flair des historischen Hauses genossen. Die Lage erschien uns optimal: zwar innerhalb der Stadtmauer, nicht jedoch im großen Trubel und daher relativ ruhig. Da wir nur zu dritt waren und das kleinste Schlafzimmer für das Gepäck nutzten, hatten wir auch ausreichend Platz.

The apartment is located in the historic center of Lucca, a fascinating concentration of medieval and Renaissance culture.
You can easily walk to all the main attractions and to the many restaurants in the city center.
The apartment is located in a limited traffic area (ZTL), so it is not possible to arrive by car in front of the entrance.
We suggest these car parks in the immediate vicinity of the apartment:
- Piazza Santa Maria parking: unattended paid parking with paid hours 8-20 (€2/hour). It is about 50m from the apartment, it can be a good base when you arrive to unload your luggage, before moving your car to a cheaper parking lot;
- Via Vecchia III: free street parking. Reachable in 3 minutes on foot from the apartment through a passage that crosses the city walls;
- Don Baroni parking: free unattended parking. Reachable in 10/12 minutes on foot through Porta Santa Maria;
- Mazzini car park: paid parking, covered and unguarded (Daytime rate (8:00-20:00): first hour = €1.00, from the 2nd hour onwards = €1.50/h. Nighttime rate (20:00-08:00): €2.00 per entry). It is about 800m from the apartment.
The train station is 1.5 km from the apartment and can be reached in about 20 minutes on foot from the apartment.
