Be a privileged, live in the heart of Lucca city at the corner with one of the most famous square of Italy -Amphiteatre of Lucca- and look at San Frediano Church! Enjoy romantic evenings al fresco terrace and the cool breeze during the spring nights,admire the stars in the sky... It can be perfect for a couple of lovers, a small group of friends or family, important is:LOVE the unusual, FEEL good and SMILE during the rise!!! AVAILABLE ALSO FOR SMART WORKING AND MONTLY RENTAL Our lovely house has NOT LIFT, so you'll have to rise 60 STEPS to get in. We usually do it easily, but consider it before booking please, if you're in good shape is perfect for you :) Actually i have to say that it is an authentic opportunity for you, because of the fact that during the steps, you can admire the original old cave walls and the particular ceiling which is typical of the Amphitheater's houses od the Medieval time. Once arrived inside you can enjoy an exclusive and authentic well decorated apartment finally, you'll find some very unusual objects which the owner, a famous painter of Lucca city named POSSENTI and his lovely daughter Maria arranged to make here a sort of paradise. Maria put a lot of effort to make this place more charming and comfortable than it's by itself, she fortunately decide to demolish the wall who setted just in front of the kitchen so that you'll enjoy so much brightness from the large windows! Do you like trains? I love the old ones in particulars so much and when i saw the original seats of an old cabin just in front of the entry, i literary fell in love with this house. I wish the same to you!! Don't mind to rise the steps again.. till the top please, as you have to admire the amazing view from the amazing terrace on the roofs and the magnificence of San Frediano gold painting in front of you!

This place is absolutely gorgeous. The interior is lovely, but the rooftop patio is really the gem of this home. The biggest downside of this home is the comfort of the primary bed. It is truly hard as a rock and made it extremely difficult to get a goodnight of rest. If the bed is replaced or even a mattress topper is added for additional comfort, this would be a 5 star location. Due to the bed, this is a 4 star apartment.
We enjoyed our stay. The roof-top view was great as were the views from the windows. The dining area was pleasant and the kitchen well equipped. The only problem was the drain in the shower which was very slow and then ceased to function. This was fixed in a timely manner and we were very happy to have stayed 10 days in such a pretty place.
Valentina was very responsive to our messages, clear instructions for entry to the apartment. Walking into the apartment, it immediately felt homely, it was an extremely quiet apartment building. The view from the roof terrace of Lucca, was breathtaking, sitting eating breakfast and having coffee was so relaxing and a wonderful start to the day. The local area was very historic, plenty of shops, supermarkets and restaurants. We walked around the city wall early in the morning, to avoid the busier times, this was so peaceful, you could hear the birds. The walk from the station on arrival was extremely easy, around the wall for part of it. We wished we'd booked for longer.
We loved our stay at Valentina’s apartment. Easy to walk to and find from the train station.Situated in a great neighbourhood with access to lovely restaurants, shops and galleries. The flat itself has eclectic and interesting decor as well as being comfortable. The many steps up to the apartment we felt were worth it as the view from the rooftop was fantastic. It really is the highlight of the space. There was only one area we felt could be improved upon which was the mattress in the main bedroom, it was way too hard for us but we ended up sleeping downstairs where the mattress was super comfy. We would highly recommend this apartment and a visit to Lucca.

The proximity to Piazza Santa Maria where is the closets car parking is just a 5-minute walk away, allowing the tourist to enjoy a variety of services besides car parks, such as ATMs, hiring bikes, eating at some of the best restaurants in the city or the most fashionable localities, beyond the convenient access to the walls, not to mention the proximity to another beautiful square where the beautiful Basilica of San Frediano is located, which definitely deserves a visit for the spectacular adorned façade of the mosaic depicting the ascension in heaven Christ redeemable and attributable at the Lucling School of Berlinghieri. Inside you can admire famous works by Jacopo della Quercia. Piazza San Frediano becomes a protagonist on two occasions of a city celebration: on September 13th from here starts the procession of Santa Croce, which sees the city illuminated by small lumines at the base of mulit and palaces, and on April 27 when the celebrated Santa Zita feast is celebrated inside the basilica, home lived in the 13th century. and became holy for his immense generosity toward the needy and unlimited devotion to the Fatinelli family for which he worked. In the days of its celebration, the square becomes a flowered garden of thousands of colors thanks to the flower and plants exhibition, a unique scenario that I recommend to visit at least once.
Do not mind to make a break and enjoying good drink in one of our favorite place : Cafè Santa ZITA where you can choose among of many local drinks.
If you want to taste some of the best local pizza , take away a slice at PIZZERIA SBRAGIA in Via Fillungo or at the old pizzeria (only take away) DA FELICE in Via Buia.
The house can be reached from the train station on foot in about 10 minutes or if you arrive by car from piazza Santa Maria, where is the pay parking which is only 5 minutes walk. Once I arrive I will then show you the nearby free parking where you can leave your car.
