This is my second stay in less than a year and I’d come back again as soon as I’m able.

We had a great stay at Carolyn’s place. Cute, modern, comfortable, relaxing. We stayed with another couple and the space was perfect. We were walking distance from everything. However, our friends thought it was a little too long of a walk so they rented a golf cart. We had so much fun zipping it back and forth to the beach area. The power went out one day 7am-5pm because of a scheduled outage due to construction. Carolyn was proactive and told us how to collect some water. She also told us which resorts ran on a generator so we would have access to food and drink. We tried a place on her list and had the most incredible dinner with live music right down the road. It was a magical evening!

I had a great 2 weeks here. The place is lovely, matched the pictures and had everything we needed. It’s walkable to the beach and grocery store. The host was extremely helpful and communicative throughout our stay. The instructions provided in the listing covered everything I needed to know and any additional questions were quickly answered. I’d stay here again if in Nosara. I chose not to, but others may want to rent an atv or golf cart (lots of options close by) to make getting around Nosara easier.

This was our second Airbnb in the area. Our plans changed due to a death in the family, and our first Airbnb was not available at the last minute for an extended stay. So, this reservation was made last minute. Our first Airbnb in the area was a brand new build, while Carolyn's Airbnb was older. Therefore, it's challenging to make an exact comparison. Bugs are common in Costa Rica, and at Carolyn's place, you may encounter some ants and maybe a small lizard. Residences in Costa Rica do not have standard addresses like in the US, so it's advisable to arrive during daylight hours for ease of finding the house. Power outages are common in Costa Rica, and air conditioning is different from the US. The pool was mostly in the shade, which kept the water temperature cool. Overall, Carolyn was very responsive and allowed us early access to the house to store our luggage. It was a good stay, just different from our first Airbnb experience.
