Such a lovely stay! The only thing that I wasn't sure about before the weekend away was the bathroom as there aren't any photos or much mention of it. But be sure that the bathroom did not disappoint. It was just as luxurious as the rest. A modest sink with lots of shelving storage, no issues keeping all we needed accessible. And a very spacious shower! There were extra toiletries and even bathrobes hanging ready to be used! This was a common theme throughout the whole place. Niki has put in so much effort and gone above and beyond in all areas I can think of. The kitchen was clean and easy to use, and had all the necessities. My partner and I cooked all our meals and had no issues making whatever we fancied. The bed was great! So soft, and the bed linens were top quality. Fire place was perfect! Heated the place fast and easily and Niki provided everything you could want for a fire to last the cold days/nights. The property was beautiful! Such a great spot to go for long wander
This cute little cottage makes for the perfect weekend escape. Stoke up the fire and snuggle into the linen sheets! If you do venture out into the world, there's so many things to see and do and eat. Niki provided lots of great information to help us find the best things in the local area. Thanks so much for such a lovely stay Niki 😊
Niki’s cottage is absolutely beautiful and the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway. Niki was also extremely responsive to any queries. My partner and I loved our time here and will be returning in the future.
An absolutely wonderful place to stay. Niki has put much thought into making her guests feel welcome and at home. The cottage is beautifully decorated, including interesting artefacts and historical information, and everything you want is there. I was cooking for myself, and it was very easy since all the essentials were supplied, along with home grown tomatoes, her own farm eggs, fresh basil and rosemary. Also, lots of high quality appliances, even a really good hair dryer. I didn’t want to leave and wish I had more time there. Thanks so much, Niki.

Hi, I’m Niki. I live in Hesket with my husband Craig, and our two little kids. We spend a lot of our time working on the property, gardening, foraging for mushrooms which I sell locally, and looking after our cats, chickens, guineafowl, sheep and alpaca. We love this area for the beautiful scenery, the fresh mountain air, the fantastic local wines, the stunning change of seasons, the native bush, the friendly community vibe and the abundant wildlife. We aren't just about the countryside, we also love music, stereo equipment, gigs, craft beer, wine, and food. I lived previously in Melbourne, London, Seoul, and am from NZ. Having travelled a lot myself, I wanted to create the perfect little country getaway that doesn't require you give up any of your creature comforts or luxuries from home.
