From evenings chillin by the lake, to hanging out on the deck, to fishing, grilling, swimming, playgrounds, ping pong, tennis and more...our peaceful enclave offers something for everyone. Located on the shore of Lake Thunderbird in Putnam, IL the Lake House is an easy two hour drive from Chicago. Our house has 4 bedrooms: 1st with a quean bad and sleeping sofa ; 2nd with two quean beds and sleeping sofa ; 3rd with king bed and crib ; 4th it's a kids room with bunk twin bed . Living room has a sleeping sofa .

house is amazing
Alina was a great host. Responding promptly and communicating was easy. The house was beautifully decorated and very functional. The deck was enormous and large enough to do many activities. It was very peaceful. The people we in countered at lake thunderbird we very nice as-well.
Beautiful house in a peaceful area
Great Lake house. Loved the outdoor spaces, including HUGE deck. Very kid friendly and we would definitely recommend for a family vacation.
Alina was very friendly and helpful. Whenever we had a question or concern she responded very quickly to our satisfaction. The home was beautiful and in a very quiet setting. We enjoyed the very spacious layout and kitchen. We also enjoyed the size of the deck and the outside lighting.

"The lake House " is located in privet community where you can have everything you need for a great vacation ; lake , heated pool , privet beach with cafeteria and playground but it also located on a privet lot where you can get your privacy and a feeling being at the wood by the lake . ( unfortunately use any water equipment is not allowed by HOA , fee 250$)
If looking for an adventure Starving rock state park (30ml) it's a great place to visit. It’s known for its steep sandstone canyons formed by glacial meltwater. Several, including the St. Louis, French and Wildcat canyons, have waterfalls. A wooded trail leads to Lover’s Leap Overlook, with views of the river and Starved Rock Dam .
Spring Creek Golf Course (17ml away )Designed in 1932 as the first course in the United States open to players age 17 and younger, Spring Creek Golf Course remains beginner-friendly to this day and is open to the public .
