Wow. It was beautiful. One of the most serene places we’ve ever stayed. We got the train from London which was easy and the lake is walking distance from the station. Hobbie and Laura were so lovely and friendly. We felt well looked after. We didn’t use the hot tub but we enjoyed sitting on the decking overlooking the crystal clear water. The lodge was clean and SO peaceful. Lots of wildlife :) Would go back in a heartbeat.

A wonderful site, beautiful views across the lake, very relaxing. Nature at it's best, each morning the geese and the fish came to say hello, the great crested grebe's building their nest and the coots bobbing up and down. Laura the host was lovely just a text away if we needed anything. The wood fired hot tub is fun but remember it takes time to get to the right temperature but once it is there it is lovely. Some nice sites near and Rochester is well worth a visit, as is Leeds Castle and Fort Amherst. There is a micro brewery in Upper Halling which is also worth visiting with lots of nice beers to try, its just a 40 minute walk, each way.

The floating lodge was very majestic. The photos don’t do the place enough justice. It’s a peaceful, quiet place with the most stunning views. The lodge was very clean with everything one would require for their stay, clean linen, towels, bathroom and kitchen were all immaculately clean. The hot tub is the icing on the cake, I could stay there for weeks. Lastly Laura is a very lovely and attentive host, nothing was too much trouble for her and she even offered to ferry us to nearby shops when we ran out of food supplies. She also assisted us with setting up the hot tub when we failed to get the hang of it. Thank you for having us, I highly recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful escape somewhere surreal. Will definitely visit again.
