We were looking for a secluded, cabin type feel for our little getaway, and that is exactly what we got. The house is set on top of a bluff with absolutely stunning views and great little walking trails that allow you to enjoy the scenery and the nature that De Soto has to offer. Being from the city, a lot of what we hear is cars and sirens and constant mayhem taking place around you 24/7. Our entire stay we were greeted by birds, squirrels, and more birds. It was absolutely amazing and quite good for the soul. The host, Keri was very much of help and responded to our question/s within minutes of asking. The house looked like the pictures depict and the area was clean and well put together. During our stay we utilized everything the house had to offer! The drinking cups are all mason jars which really fit the cabin feel. The gas range was great but the outdoor grill was even better! Overall the cabin was exactly what we were looking for and will surely consider this again. Thank you

Our stay at the cabin was truly delightful. For those seeking a weekend escape, this destination is ideal. With its serene atmosphere, inviting hot tub, and scenic hiking trails, it offers the perfect opportunity to unwind. Although we didn't partake in fishing, it's evident that it's a popular pastime in the area. We're already looking forward to returning in the fall to witness the breathtaking foliage transformation. Our excursion to Pikes Peak State Park in Iowa, where we had the pleasure of spotting bald eagles, added an extra layer of excitement to our trip. Without a doubt, it was a rejuvenating experience, and we highly recommend it.

The cabin was gorgeous as well as the surroundings on the bluff overlooking the Mississippi! It was extremely clean, well furnished and the hosts personally checked with us to see if there was anything else we needed. We will definitely come back!

Kari has a very Clean nice homie cabin. It was perfect in every way. The hot tub is very nice along with the heated floors and fireplace I would recommend this place to anyone! I would rate this place a 11/10 the only negative thing I have about the place is the mattresses are very hard!
