A super spacious coastal style timber-clad detached house; a simply perfect hideaway and excellent base for couples, families and groups of friends to enjoy North Norfolk throughout the seasons. With easy access to good local amenities, some of North Norfolk's most glorious of beaches, many inland delights, as well as amazing birdlife all on the doorstep, there is something here for everyone to enjoy. Tucked away, and surrounded by fields and rolling countryside with easy access to country walks from the back of the house, Sandpiper House offers all the benefits of comfortable, contemporary living. Using a palette of muted colours throughout, and with a nod to the nearby coast from decorative items and artworks on the walls, the house has a lovely calm and relaxing vibe. The ground floor living areas are divided by the entrance hallway. To one side, a large open-plan dual aspect sociable kitchen/dining area runs the full length of the house, with enough space for a comfortable seating area at the far end too, where bi-fold doors open to the patio and garden beyond. The kitchen is top notch and, as you might expect, very well equipped. There's a separate sitting room to the other side of the house, also dual aspect, that offers a quieter, more chilled-out option and, with french doors, further access to the garden. In between the two, a useful utility room takes care of the domestic side of life, and there's the convenience of a cloakroom on this level too. Upstairs, on the first floor, are four rather luxe beautifully furnished bedrooms, two king-size and two twin, all beds with deep quality mattresses. The master bedroom has an en-suite shower room, and there is also a large family bathroom with a bath and separate shower cubicle. Sandpiper House is a light and airy comfortably furnished property where every little detail has been considered to make sure your holiday is complete and hassle free. The enclosed sunny rear garden is ideal for dining al fresco in the summer months. Ingoldisthorpe is a small, quiet village between the busier villages of Snettisham and Dersingham, on the Wash coast. Within easy walking distance, there are good shops in both villages, each one has a popular pub serving great food, and Snettisham has the extremely popular ‘Old stores' serving breakfast, brunch and lunch all day. Some of the best family and dog friendly beaches the coast has to offer are a short drive away from the house. Sandringham House, walks in Wild Ken Hill, RSBP at Snettisham and Houghton Hall are close by, and there's some wonderful walking in on the Peddars Way and North Norfolk Coastal path, all a short drive away. Snettisham Park Farm very popular with families is a short walk across the fields (or a five minute drive away) where you can meet the resident deer (which can also be seen by walking across the fields at the back of the house). Sandpiper House can also be booked as a sleeps four option, with two of the bedrooms closed off, see listing for details. Additional Information: Three medium size well-behaved dogs welcome (small additional charge). The house is available for a maximum of six adults only (plus children). Pillows and duvets are synthetic fibre. The Nespresso coffee machine takes standard size pods (please bring your own). There is not an electric car charging point, and the owners request that guests do not use the house electricity to charge their cars. Please note: the bathroom windows, the bi-folds and french doors will be getting curtains and blinds (they had not been delivered when the photographs were taken).
The village of Ingoldisthorpe is nine miles north of King's Lynn and seven miles south of Hunstanton. The village is mid way between Snettisham and Dersingham, both within a mile walking distance from Ingoldisthorpe. Dersingham has a post office and both villages benefit from having a good range of shops and country pubs.
A very reliable bus route runs through the village towards both King's Lynn and Hunstanton where you can continue your journey on the Coasthopper.
Ingoldisthorpe has an impressive church, St Michael's and All Angels, which was almost entirely re-built in the 14th century and then subject to a comprehensive restoration programme in the mid19th century. It is particularly notable for its stunning collection of late 19th and early 20th century glass.
Surrounded by rolling countryside, yet easily accessible to many parts of West Norfolk, Ingoldisthorpe is also situated on the National Cycle Route 1.
The village is also ideally situated for visiting nearby attractions including Sandringham House and its beautiful estate, Snettisham Park, Norfolk Lavender, RSPB at Snettisham as well as the beaches at Heacham and Hunstanton.
